I’d (probably) buy one…

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Sometimes, I think I really want to move to Hong Kong. I got to go there about 10 years ago (which was fantastic!) and I liked it then. And then… the Pizza Huts there are now turning their pizza-boxes into movie projectors for your smartphone.. How crazy is that?

I kinda want one…

Yup. Anyways. Have a great Wednesday!

An Eventful Event the Pushed Buttons has Ended

Hiya, Fluffsters!

I am, alas, a few days late to posting this. (But I only just found out about it yesterday.)

I’ve known for a while now that Reddit had a very interesting April Fool’s prank this year. On April 1, they released a button. Once it was pushed for the first time, it started a countdown from 60 seconds. If someone pushed the button, it reset the counter, and the pusher received a little flair that went by their name when they posted on that subreddit. Now, the flair also changed colors depending on what second the pusher pushed, and the number was also displayed. Only people who had already created accounts before the April Fool’s Day prank started could push the button.

It was quite interesting to watch. There were factions and “religions” that started, all due to the button.

And it went on for months. It only just recently ended. Seriously. That was all of April and May. And a bit of June as well.

The Reddit Blog has a fun summary of what went on these last couple of months.

I hope you have a great day, but I am still slightly in mourning for this April Fools joke, so here’s a piece to end with.

If I were able to make my own dream house…

Hi, Fluffsters!

It’s probably just as well that I can’t make my own dream house. Because if I could, about the only two things I’m absolutely sure I reeaaaly want are 1) A full-sized ballroom with hardwood floors for legit dances / balls / etc., and 2) all my walls to be dry-erase marker approved. As in, white-boards. Or maybe even chalkboards. Or, even better, some combination of the two of those, and maybe some bookcases with glass fronts as well. The purpose would be for me to write down whatever I want on as large a surface as I want. And that would be lovely.

It would also allow me to change the design of a room fairly regularly and quickly, which would also be a perk.

And that’s one of the reasons why it’s probably just as well I don’t have an unlimited budget (and permission) to design my own home.

I actually liked “Wreck-It Ralph”

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, the other day, I ended up (finally) watching “Wreck-It Ralph”. I had been meaning to watching it for a while, but got sidetracked. And then I ended up watching The Lego Movie (which was surprisingly disappointing…) and expected that Wreck-It Ralph would just disappoint.

But, I ended up getting into a mood for silliness at some point recently, and managed to watch it. And I enjoyed it.

The entire premise was fun. It is the story of the “Bad Guy” from an arcade game.

And, well, here’s the trailer.

One of the things I found amusing is a bit meta…

You see, Ralph is the villain of the game “Fix-it Felix, Jr.” in the movie where he is the hero of “Wreck-it Ralph.” I just found the wordplay there to be fun.

So, yeah. It was a fun movie. It’s not, like OMG AMAZING YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS NOW OR ELSE THE WORLD WILL EXPLODE!!! or anything. But it was fun.

I hope you get to enjoy it!
