New Lindsey Stirling Video

Hi!

So. Remember the Music Video Trailer?

Well, the thing got released a couple days ago.

The special effects are lovely. THe little light things in particular are reminding me of some things from Sanderson’s Cosmere. So now I really want to see the two collaborate…

What d’you think?

You can get a travel mug that’s more expensive than the coffee maker!

Hello!

So. Puzzle for you.

Which is more important? The coffee-making process? Or the coffee storing process?

Because I just discovered you can spend more on the coffee mug than on an actually decent coffee maker.

(I just found a travel mug for $150. It comes with temperature control. The top-of-the-line K-Cup maker is about $100.)

So, where would you spend your money?

A problem with going through Old Things

Hi!

So. Summer. I’ve been going through some Old Stuff that should probably be cleared out to an extent.

And I’ve encountered a problem.

You see, there’s a lovely stationery set I’ve come across. I have the company that we got it from. But, it’s apparently no longer in print. So now I’m faced with the problem of whether to use them (and by so doing clear up the space but no longer be able to use them) or whether to keep them and let them remain as clutter.

Tough decisions.

Now see, if I hadn’t gone through The Things, I might not even realize they exist!

What are your excuses for not cleaning?

VERY cool performance art

Greetings, readers!

I recently encountered a remarkable piece of performance art. It is a dance film performed entirely underwater. There is information written about it with information on the performer. The underwater dance itself is gorgeous, and worth watching.

Enjoy.

…And Trailers for Music Videos are now a thing.

Hi!

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise to you that YouTube just recommended a trailer for me.

What I didn’t expect was for there to be a trailer… for a music video. Granted, it’s for a Lindsey Stirling thing. And she does good work.

It’s still a music video, though, and I’m not sure what I think about the existence of trailers for such things.

What do you think?

MORE Chess Stuff

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

One “advantage” of having friends who like chess is that I’m growing to actually like chess. Or something.

And I’m finding new things.

For instance, if you want to practice identifying squares on the board, based on the algebraic system, you can do that online.

And it’s surprisingly addicting.

Enjoy?

Rubber Duck Chess WAS a Thing.

Hi.

I just found out that Rubber Ducky Chess used to be a thing you could buy. With really cute pieces, all variations on rubber ducks. And the board had ducks printed into them.

And now it’s not.

I’m a bit disappointed about this… and just a bit curious about whether or not it can be found elsewhere.

What are your thoughts?

Review of Fun Procrastinates: Part 3, Order of the Stick!

Hi!

As you may recall, I’m going through and remembering some great procrastinates.

Today, one I’ve been recommending to friends recently is The Order of the Stick.

It’s a delightful webcomic that deals directly with D&D. I’m not entirely caught up, but certainly the first lot of comics are fun. (Head’s up, it does use some language that isn’t entirely G-rated.)

Enjoy!

There is apparently a “Live-Action” Dumbo in the works

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

I just saw a trailer for a thing I needed to fact-check: A Live-Action remake of Disney’s Dumbo.

I seriously thought it was a prank. A well done prank, but a prank nonetheless.

But nope! It’s a real thing.

And the trailer looks interesting. (At the very least, it looks like they might still have “Pink Elephants”!)

So, yup! What are your thoughts?
