A Wrap on 2017

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, I realize that I often do “best of” posts for the year. But I’m probably going to be doing something along those lines in about a month, so instead, I’m sharing seasonally appropriate music.

Again?

Yeah, but this time it’s thematically appropriately with the end of the year, rather than what most would associate with the season.

Ok. The title.

The Title is appropriate.

The song is “That’s a Wrap”, by TSFH.

Ok, TSFH is an acceptable reason to be sharing “seasonal music” as a final post of the year. Especially because I also enjoy this piece.

All is well.

…Thanks?

Anyway. Enjoy!

90s Nostalgia Video

Hi!

There’s a YouTube channel I’m enjoying, called Doormonster. And a while ago, they made a video with 90s nostalgia stuff. And since we’re getting on towards the end of the year, and therefore to a time for looking back and reflecting, I thought this was a valid time to share.

Enjoy!

The Challenge of YouTube Red

Hi!

So. YouTube. They’ve been extensively trying to get me to sign up for a free trial of their Red subscription.

And I’m a bit conflicted about it.

You see, on the one hand, it would be nice to have long sets of music playing in the background with no interruptions mid-video. But on the other hand, some of the ads that happen at the beginning are great! Like, seriously. It turns out that League of Legends is apparently running a major ad campaign. And I wouldn’t have found out about it if not for YouTube ads. And similarly, I’ve seen a number of trailers for the first time because of YouTube ads.

I’m not even sure if I want what they’re selling.

So, I guess “conflicted” isn’t the right term. It’s more “confused”, maybe?

I dunno.

Anyway. Happy Friday!

I can officially recommend “Oathbringer”

Greetings, readers!

Yesterday, I was (FINALLY) able to finish reading Oathbringer. I can therefore now tell you that I have read it, and really enjoyed it. I also continue to very highly recommend the Stormlight Archives series by Brandon Sanderson.

And if you are able to, I also recommend reading Warbreaker. Not only is it available for free from the author’s website, but also it gets referenced in Oathbringer. (One of the fantastic things Sanderson does is set a number of his stories in the same universe… and then have crossovers. Or the equivalent thereof.)

Enjoy.

There are MULTIPLE versions of Holly and the Ivy!

Hi!

So. It turns out, there are multiple tunes for Holly and the Ivy.

There’s the one most places overplay. (I found an actually decent one for this post, though.)

And then there’s the one I wouldn’t have identified otherwise.

It’s a bit darker, so, (naturally) I’m currently quite intrigued by it.

Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

Noel Nouvelet

Greetings, readers!

I realized it has been about two years since I last shared a particular piece that I both love, and forgot about. Thus, it made sense to me to remind you of the existence of this piece: Noel Nouvelet.

And once again, I am sharing the King’s Singers version.

Enjoy.

I’m blaming a cute puppy for this short post

Hi!

As you may have noticed, I’ve been (somewhat) trying to have my posts this week be Christmas themed. Like, with music and stuff.

However, around the time I normally pre-write posts for the next day, I had an adorable fluff cuddling in my lap, and was therefore unable to.

Since she’s still fluff, though, I’m writing about it.

Yup. Sorry, not sorry. The dog cuddles were worth it.

Have a lovely Friday!
