A Podcast is responsible for a re-trial…?

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, technology is fun. You see, there was an interesting Podcast that’s been going on for a while, apparently. It was investigating what may have been a mis-trial. It got a lot of attention. It’s called “Serial.”

Anyway, much to my surprise, I found out that it’s actually real. I thought it was all scripted and stuff. Turns out, it wasn’t.

And now, because of it, the case that was investigated in the show is going to trial again.

Interesting time we live in, isn’t it?

Funny music battle from a few years ago (pt 3)

Hiya, Fluffsters!

As you may recall from Yesterday’s post (and the post from the day before), there was a rather well done YouTube music “battle” done a few years ago.

Yesterday’s post was the first of the weirdly absurd instruments.

The two competitions afterwords were not as spectacularly bizarre. (There was an Ocarina response, and a Zither response.)

The last two, however, well…

Here they are.

They are masterful.

I mean, seriously. That one was played with cellphones.

And not even smart-phone app technology.

And this next one… Well, part of the reason I’m sharing it today is in honor of who’s singing the National Anthem at the Superbowl.

And… I’ll just leave it at that, and get onto the video.

I mean, seriously.

So, yeah. I think there’s probably a bit of modulation that happened with that video. Maybe. I’m not sure how else the higher notes would have come out.

But isn’t that really well done?

And terrible? (In an epic way?)

Alas, there has been no response. But on the other hand, I’m not sure how anyone would respond, so it’s not too surprising.

Yup.

Anyway, have a lovely day!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

I’m continuing today’s post. And this is where it starts to get… weird.

In response to the Glockenspiel, the original challenge-video-poster plays Moonlight Sonata on… Crockenspiel.

The subsequent reply is then played… on the Gameboy. I kid you not. Check it out, it’s pretty fantastic.

And it gets better.

But that’s for tomorrow.

Have a lovely day!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I recently became aware of the existence of a music battle that gets progressively sillier. It starts off with some pop song on Recorder. (Not too silly.)

The response then goes to a Glockenspiel.

Again, this isn’t too crazy. It’s in the next video that things start getting… weird.

But that’s for tomorrow. Have a lovely day!

Why have I been getting a Spanish Toothpaste Ad?

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, this has happened a few times now. I’ve been looking at YouTube videos, (generally for music), and I’ve gotten a toothpaste commercial. As if that’s not weird enough, the commercial is in Spanish.

I don’t understand it…

Any thoughts?

“Periscope” is a thing…

Greetings, readers!

I have recently been encountering something on social media that I had not previously been aware of. It is an app called “periscope.”

It is a video app that enables you to live-stream, and send (or receive) feedback on what you are streaming.

I did a little bit of research, and found a tutorial that gives more, basic information.

Interesting definition of “communication” I like

Greetings, readers!

I heard an interesting definition of “Communication” recently: Communication is directing the thoughts of someone else.

I do not know where the original came from, but I rather like that definition. It fits. I am, after all, currently directing your thoughts around my current words. That is also why pictures “communicate” with us. They direct our thoughts.

What do you think of this definition?

A donut shop too few know about

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I’ve been to San Diego (CA, in case you were wondering) a few times. More to the point, my parents spent a fair bit of time in San Diego. And there is a donut shop there. It is one of the best donut shops around, but few people I talk to (even when I’m in California!) have even heard of it. So, I’m telling you a bit about it.

The place is called VG Donut.

I personally think the “VG” stands for “very good.” Because they are. Actually, no. They are more than that. They are excellent. Especially their Buttermilk Bars. Those things are to die from. I don’t remember if I prefer the glazed or the plain, but you basically cannot go wrong with them. They are fantastic. Seriously. I cannot say enough good things about those donuts!

So, there you go. I now feel better, having told the internet about this place.

If you go near San Diego, be sure to look them up!
