Talk to yourself and become smarter!

Heya, Fluffsters!

It has come to my attention that smart people talk to themselves. (And there’s a list of benefits for doing so.)

Therefore, the obvious solution is to start talking to yourself, so that you’ll get smarter.

I am not entirely sure that the article in question was actually making that point…

Tough. My post, my point.

Anyway, have a great Monday! (If possible.)

Head’s Up Post

Hello, Fluffsters!

As a head’s up, these next few weeks are a bit busier for me than usual. As such, it’s far more likely that one of these days (or maybe even multiple of these days) will not see an update.

So, yeah. Just a warning.

Happy Sunday!

Love/hate with Chrome

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I generally use Google Chrome as my browser of choice. It’s faster, and it does what I need it to do.

It also has some features that I simultaneously love and hate. For example, its learning abilities. I like how its autocomplete “learns” what you are likely to want in the URL bar thingy. However, it can sometimes cause problems. For example, if I’m not careful, then eventually “fabric.com” (and not “facebook.com”) will be the first thing to come up when I type in “fa” into the URL.

Another instance is what comes up when I type “g” into it When chrome behaves, “g” and then tab takes me to insta-Google-search. If I’m not careful, though, it sometimes takes me to GirlGenius, and then down a tab. And I find that annoying.

I guess that’s what happens when technology gets a little too adaptive.

Anyway, have a great Saturday!

A Professor after my own heart…

Greetings, readers!

Recently, a professor’s extra credit question on an exam has been making the rounds. I highly approve of this question, and do not think it cruel at all. It is an excellent study in game theory, and I would greatly enjoy seeing the data on this. It would be further interesting to analyze whether or not there were differences (in general) from students who did better or worse in the class over all.

What are your thoughts?

pillow talk

Hiya, Fluffsters!

I have come to the further realization that I might be a little less normal than I even originally thought. That is, I might actually be weirder than I thought.

For, you see, I actually like thin pillows. And actively dislike a lot of the thin ones. I’m much happier with the $2 pillows from WalMart than the expensive ones.

I don’t get it. In fact, I almost feel as though I’m betraying Fluff when I go for the less, well, fluffy ones.

But oh well. It’s just pillows, right?

Have a great Thursday!

Picture Pluto

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Just so you’re aware, there’s apparently something happening with Pluto coming up in the near future. Or it may have happened already. I’m not entirely sure.

Anyway, have a great Wednesday!

ACK!! NEW STAR WARS FOOTAGE!!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, “San Diego Comic Con” is going on. (Which is why Fluffy was able to share a new propaganda piece for the Hunger Games series.) But one of the most exciting things I’ve seen, is there is new footage of the new Star Wars movie. It looks FANTASTIC. Can I pleeeaaaase go to the midnight showing of it now?

I am so looking forward to this!

Well, have a great Sunday!

MORE GIANT ROBOTS.

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, remember how yesterday A couple days ago, (since Fluffy moved this post) I shared a couple videos about a GIANT ROBOT MELEE coming up?

Well, I found a video with a bit more info on the American version.

And it’s pretty fantastic. Check it out!

I mean, seriously. They even have it designed that the arms-master is at risk of being “slimed” (or something) if they’re not careful. Think of the comedy potential!

Have a great Friday! Saturday

New “Hunger Games” Propaganda — effective

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I am postponing the Webmaster’s current plans for today’s post, in light of a very interesting update from the franchise of “The Hunger Games”.

In case you were not aware– starting with one of the earlier movies, the studio producing the Hunger Games movies put out a series of “in-universe” propaganda videos. (They were presented as though the propaganda was to members of the Hunger Games world. It was very effective for those who were familiar with the universe.)

Yesterday, there was a new propaganda video released.

What I found especially fantastic, (in addition to it pointing out the theoretical implications of how District 13 may be turning into a “Capitol Look-Alike”) was the subversion of the Mockingjay symbol.

For those of you who do not remember, this is what the transition from the book “Catching Fire” to “Mockingjay” looked like:

If you look at the end of the new propaganda piece, you should notice that now the Mockingjay’s “wings” have turned into the soldiers of war.

I thought that was a really cool effect.

Enjoy your Friday!
