About Fluffy McGiggles

Greetings, reader! I am Fluffy McGiggles. In my world, I was an actress of the strongest sort, the melodramatic sort. Recently, I find myself confined to this... website, as its anthrompomorphization and personality. The Webmaster and I have a bit of a dispute as to how this should be run. The Webmaster can change anything I do, but I can also change anything the Webmaster does. However, the Webmaster can also delete me at will. So that means I'm temporarily behaving myself. This is my own choice, however, contrary to anything The Webmaster may say. So, don't blame me for the over-the-topness of the website. You have been warned.

Some Doctor Who Halloween Ideas – Angels

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

This day marks the fifteenth day of October. There are therefore only about 15 or so days left to do Halloween Decorating. I have some ideas for you that I have been unable to implement on my own, for various reasons…

Like being in the internet?

Yes, that is part of it.

Regardless, I did have some ideas. They would take some time, but there should still be enough time for you to implement one of these, if you wish.

And for those of you who don’t wish, and aren’t interested, there’s a new post up at cooking.totalfluff.com

…smooth. Not.

Yeah, well, whatever.

First of all, I should let you know that I watched all of the newer seasons of Doctor Who over the summer, and I enjoyed them.

With that in mind, I came up with some ideas for how to rather creep out Whovians. Today, I’m going to focus on my…

Doctor Who Weeping Angels Decorating Idea. (*spoilers!*)

This one would be fairly subtle, but you could turn it as complicated as you would like. It is inspired by the episode “The Time of Angels.”

Weeping Angel leaving the picture

The bare minimum would be to hang lovely pictures of landscapes or cemeteries, frame them, and label one or more of them as “The Weeping Angel of (put in your location here)”. Fill in other information (such as sculptor, location, etc.) as desired.

If you wish to “step the game up”, you could do this one of several ways. The first way would be a bit more expensive, and/or time consuming. What you would do is have statues of angels “hiding” at various locations. If you know an engineer, you could try to step it up further and have the angels be animatronics. That seems like it would be a fair bit of work, however.

A different possibility would be to ask at least one guest (preferably as many as you hang pictures of) to dress as angels and arrive at your party early. Have them skulk around, and try to spook your other guests.

Even better would be to mix it up, and have both statues and Angel actors. And possibly periodically move the angel statues.

At the very least, it would make for some excellent photo opportunities for your guests.

My Poor YouTube Algorithm…

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi Fluffsters!

So recently, I was on YouTube. Which is highly unsurprising, since I frequently use it to listen to music. And then I realized how sad my poor little YouTube algorithm follower thingy must be. For, you see, I listen to a fairly wide variety of music these days, and watch some rather odd little movies. So my listening habits range all the way from about 10 seconds of the opening song of the opera Otello, to Rachmonanoff’s Variations on a Theme by Paginini, to Swing Dance Music of both the older and newer style, to broadway music, to craft tutorials, to political commentary (Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Vermin Supreme recently?)

So, I really feel kindof bad for my poor little algorithm follower. I mean, the little thing’s just following me around, looking at my history, and trying to keep one step ahead of me with his mad math skills.

Poor thing.

Breaded Chicken on Cooking Sister Site

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

It appears that the Webmaster previously had a post scheduled for today, but I am going to postpone it in light of the fact that the Sister Site (cooking.totalfluff.com) has a new post up. This one is a recipe for “biscuit-breaded baked chicken“, and it sounds interesting.

I hope that it lives up to your expectations.

Procrastination Device- Girl Genius

Greetings, readers!

I know that this link has been shared on this blog previously, but it is well worth visiting. It is a webcomic called “Girl Genius.” It is a marvelous steampunk webcomic, with beautifully done artistic detail, and a well thought-out plot. It is also incredibly long, and will probably take you more than just today to read if you have never read it before. However, it is well worth it. Especially at least the first four years of comics- there is a set involving coffee that is brilliant, but only in context. And after that, there are multiple marvelous scenes even further on.

And after you read that far, I can practically guarantee that you will be hooked.

Have a great weekend!

An actually useful children’s toy

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

The other day, I encountered a rather remarkable toy for children that I thought was quite interesting. It is a toy car motor, designed to teach children basic car maintenance skills.

I do not know how effective this toy actually is. After all, there might be concerns about how well the toy manufacturer created the engine. Also, some children might not like that particular type of toy. Additionally, it is expensive. ($120.) But the idea of having a toy that really teaches useful life-skills for later in life seems like an excellent idea.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

Remarkable Prank

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I recently encountered a rather remarkable prank. One person with a roommate, in retaliation for a prank, pranked his roommate by using eerily targeted Facebook ads.

It was quite remarkable, and apparently very effective at achieving results.

I hope you have an excellent week.

Tips for Travelers to America

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

Did you know you can gain a lot of insight about different cultures by reading travelling tips? And I am not referring simply to travelling tips for visiting other countries. No. I mean, tips for visiting your country. Assuming you are American, for example, there are three fascinating articles with tips for foreigners who visit America.

The first one provides insight about American culture. It is a list for Chinese who travel to America.

The next one I found remarkable, for its insight on both cultures, is a list for French travelling to America.

Finally, there is an article with tips for Russians travelling to America. I found this one amusing.

Interesting Idea for Engineering

Greetings, readers! Joyous Thursday to you.

I recently encountered a remarkable article that discusses an interesting feat of engineering and car design. Somebody took a junk-heap car and, with the use of expanding foam and other supplies, sculpted it into a more sports-like car.

I do not know if this is structurally sound, or how well it would drive. But it looks like a very nice car.

Do you have any thoughts?

Tying Shoes: Not as Simple as we Thought

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hiya, Fluffsters! Happy Saturday!

So. I just found out that I’ve been tying my shoes wrong. (When I wear shoes with laces, that is. Normally I like my flats. They have bows on the toes.)

But I digress.

Right. Shoes. Tying wrong. Yeah. There’s a TED Talk that discusses it, and shows the right way to tie shoes. You should watch it! (Don’t worry, it’s only about 3 minutes long. You’ve got time. Anyways, it’s a Saturday!)

Yup.

So, happy Saturday! I hope you have a great one!
