I have recently been encountering something on social media that I had not previously been aware of. It is an app called “periscope.”
It is a video app that enables you to live-stream, and send (or receive) feedback on what you are streaming.

I heard an interesting definition of “Communication” recently: Communication is directing the thoughts of someone else.
I do not know where the original came from, but I rather like that definition. It fits. I am, after all, currently directing your thoughts around my current words. That is also why pictures “communicate” with us. They direct our thoughts.

I recently encountered a very amusing (but definitely “R-rated” if it were a feature film) broadcast Paranoia One-Shot.
Paranoia is a Role Play system based in a dystopia where your “Friend, the Computer” is in charge. Friend computer is paranoid about Mutant-Commie-Traitor-Scum. Players are encouraged to be backstabbing and not overly collaborative.
In this one-shot, Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton were both playing. It is a four hour long episode. If you have the time, and are not easily offended, (It is very R-rated, and quite NOT Safe For Work) it is worth it.
(After all, what else are Saturdays for?)

I was recently informed that a former Doctor from Doctor Who (Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor) is in the upcoming movie version of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.” I thus found a trailer. It is a bit bloodier than some things shared, but I think this might actually be a version I could potentially enjoy.
I doubt they will address my still existing issues with the original, but at least the zombies should add an interesting element. Matt Smith should also add character.

There is a phenomenon that has appeared on the internet relatively recently. It is the “Be like Bill” meme.
The originals actually were a little amusing, if a tad condescending. The first one I was aware of simply encouraged people to ignore content that offended them.
The most recent iteration, however, now allows Facebook Users to generate their own.
One of the changes is that it uses the name of the user. I am guessing it then examines Facebook content, and generates one of several based upon what you do not do that has stated to annoy some people. For example, a common one celebrates not playing Candy Crush.
I think it is interesting how viral this has gotten; people from all over the country are using this.

I recently found an unintentionally amusing article from the Disney blog. For some reason, presumably because they are Disney, the post is incredibly positive and cheerful about a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It is similarly excited for the delay of the next Star Wars movie.
I am amused that they think the move-date is positive.

Two days ago, somebody on YouTube came out with a rather remarkable video that I am sharing with you. It is a “mashup” of music from various classical (or classical sounding) composers. It works quite nicely.
I think part of the reason why is that it is all on the same instrument. Practically any combination of notes you play on a piano can sound like they work. This includes unpleasant sounds, as long as you then quickly move on to either a single note, or a better harmony.
