One of the biggest giveaways that it might be summer

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. I’m not sure about you, but I’m seriously considering creating a measure of how “summer” a weekend was based on how many different weddings have photos posted on Facebook.

An alternative measure for Spring or Thanksgiving would be how many engagements are announced.

Happy Summer! I hope you don’t drown in the multitudes of (lovely) photos.

Happy Fourth of July! Have a re-post.

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy Fourth of July!

I don’t think I’ll be able to come up with anything at all more patriotic than Fluffy’s post from a bit ago, so here’s the link to the Sizzler Commercial post. (If you missed it, trust me. It may contain some of the most patriotic content you will see ever.)

Have a happy, safe Fourth of July!

The Controversy Full of (Hot?) Air

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Yesterday saw some sad news. Apparently, Bubble-wrap is no longer guaranteed to pop nicely. In fact, the creators are apparently making bubble wrap that won’t pop. This is a very sad day.

Yes, they will apparently still be keeping the good ol’ original Bubble Wrap (which does pop) around, but with the creation of the new stuff, what are we to do? How will we know if what we’re ordering will be using the satisfying packing material, or if it will be the deceitful stuff that makes no noise? How are we to know what we are ordering? What have the makers done to us?

Anyways. Happy Friday.

Annoyance of Evenings

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. I don’t know about you, but for me, there’s a fairly frequent evening occurrence. It is this: I will make myself a cup of coffee in the evening and wait for it to cool, and in so doing end up not drinking the coffee even though I want it because I forget about it.

In fact, that’s kind of happening as I’m writing this post.

(Although I am actually aware of the coffee this time, and have every intention of drinking it.)

Happy Thursday!

Fun Piece of Advertising from Marvel

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, as you’re probably aware from yesterday’s post about Inside Out, I went to the movie theater a couple days ago. And while there, I saw a fantastic piece of advertising for the new Marvel movie coming out: Ant Man.

Fun Ant-Man Poster

Life-Sized depiction…

In case you couldn’t tell, in the middle of the poster is a small picture (about the size of an ant) of a man.

They did it true to life.

Yup.

Anyway, have a great day!

The new Pixar movie was worth it

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, last night, I got to see Pixar’s new movie “Inside Out” with some of my friends and my parents.

IT WAS FANTASTIC.

Seriously. I highly recommend it. I was sitting right in front of some of the little kids (who were assumed to be a target demographic, at least before watching the movie) and they seemed to enjoy it. But there was so much in there that the kids probably didn’t get. Seriously. I’m writing this as an older-than-14-year-old (I know– that narrows it down a lot…) it was a strong examination of psychology. And it had some absolutely hysterically funny scenes… which were designed to be funny. (It’s always refreshing with hilarity ensues by intentional design, as opposed to cases like The Hobbit 3…)

And the way the emotions were portrayed were excellent.

I highly recommend this movie. (If possible, I also recommend watching it in 3D. Pixar does a good job with that.)

Yup! Happy Tuesday!

Improv Everywhere Strikes Again!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. I have been a fan of ImprovEverywhere (an improve organization based in New York City) for quite a while. And apparently a few days ago, they did yet another wonderful “mission”. I encourage you to check out the details— I found it amusing.

Happy Monday!

I just saw Jurassic World, and enjoyed it

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, last night, I got to watch Jurassic World with some folks. i enjoyed it. The special effects were fun, and not too obviously not-real. So, that’s always a plus.

The music was also nice. There was one theme that was rather interesting, and used frequently to build tension and “something bad is happening!” stuff.

Yup.

But anyway, I enjoyed it.

Have you seen Jurassic World? What do you think?

Pointless Clarification for Yesterday’s Post

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. Just in case it wasn’t as obvious as I think it is, I’m clarifying yesterday’s post a bit. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the same lotioned tissues I have or not, but the lotion tissues where I am are practically glittery. And so that’s why I wrote the story.

Yup. Pointless clarification.

Happy Saturday!

Inspiration comes from weird places

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hiya, fluffsters!

So. Inspiration for Fluff and such comes from some really weird places sometimes. For example, while I was home last night, I noticed something slightly different about an everyday object, and this story just… happened.

Enjoy.

“You seriously expect me to believe these tissues are made from fairy dust?”

“No,” the young-looking woman replied, “I don’t. But it’s true.”

The shopkeeper glared. “Fairy dust. Fairies don’t exist. And even if they did, why in the five blazes would they be dusty, and using the dust to make tissues?

“Well,” the lady stared up at the ceiling, “you don’t really want to know what fairy dust is.” She looked back at the man. “But it does have healing properties. The fairy involved in this wants to be a healer, and to help. And she thought the easiest way would be with tissues.”

The man did not look convinced.

“Ok, sir, just try one.” She shoved a (clean) tissue into the man’s hand.

“It is quite soft,” he said as he pulled it towards his face. “And sparkly.” His tone had regained its exasperated tone.

The young woman looked smug. “As I said, they’re made from fairy dust.”

“I’m still not buying that. And neither would the customers.” He kept holding the tissue. “This is a high quality product, though… Despite the unbelievable source you claim for them.”

He scratched his beard thoughtfully for a few moments. “Huh. I think… Miss, what did you say your name was?”

“Autumn, Sir,” the girl replied. “Autumn Wind.”

“I… see. Well, Miss Wind,” the shopkeeper continued, “I think I may have a solution.”

“Oh?”

“Yes. You see, my customers won’t likely buy something advertised as fairy-dust. If we were to sell them as lotion-tissues, however, and consider your ‘fairy-dust’ to be lotion, I could probably sell them. Quite easily.”

Autumn sighed. “I guess that could work.”

“Good,” the shopkeeper replied. “Now, let’s discuss pricing and deliveries of our new Lotioned Tissues…”
