MORE Chess Stuff

Hi!

One “advantage” of having friends who like chess is that I’m growing to actually like chess. Or something.

And I’m finding new things.

For instance, if you want to practice identifying squares on the board, based on the algebraic system, you can do that online.

And it’s surprisingly addicting.

Enjoy?

Rubber Duck Chess WAS a Thing.

Hi.

I just found out that Rubber Ducky Chess used to be a thing you could buy. With really cute pieces, all variations on rubber ducks. And the board had ducks printed into them.

And now it’s not.

I’m a bit disappointed about this… and just a bit curious about whether or not it can be found elsewhere.

What are your thoughts?

Review of Fun Procrastinates: Part 3, Order of the Stick!

Hi!

As you may recall, I’m going through and remembering some great procrastinates.

Today, one I’ve been recommending to friends recently is The Order of the Stick.

It’s a delightful webcomic that deals directly with D&D. I’m not entirely caught up, but certainly the first lot of comics are fun. (Head’s up, it does use some language that isn’t entirely G-rated.)

Enjoy!

There is apparently a “Live-Action” Dumbo in the works

Hi!

I just saw a trailer for a thing I needed to fact-check: A Live-Action remake of Disney’s Dumbo.

I seriously thought it was a prank. A well done prank, but a prank nonetheless.

But nope! It’s a real thing.

And the trailer looks interesting. (At the very least, it looks like they might still have “Pink Elephants”!)

So, yup! What are your thoughts?

Review of Fun Procrastinates, part 1: Harry Potter

Hi!

I’m currently having some time to do things for fun again, and I’m also in some slightly new social circles that don’t always know about my fun things. And this helped me also realize that it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed some favorite ways to waste spend time.

So, to start with: Harry Potter. This one has a bonus of lots of extra ways to spend time.

First, there are the books. These are worth a reread, and I’m planning to do that pretty soon.

There are also the movies. This gives eight feature-length amounts of times. So, fun!

And you also have the extras. So all in all, the Official Potter-verse is a great way to spend time.

Enjoy!

Hi!

I’m once again around an adorable little fluffball. (The same one as usual.) And I just discovered how to get her to be rather bothered: Give her a treat. Exactly one treat. When she knows there are multiple inside.

(The greedy-guts.)

Yup. What types of things do your animal companions react to?
