Google Ads are Confusing Me

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

I’m just needing to share why I am currently confused.

Google is using Spanish advertisements for me.

Yup. That’s the most confusing thing for me at the moment. WHY am I getting advertisements that I not only don’t understand the purpose of (as with many) but also don’t understand the language of?

Anywho. Happy Thursday!

I have a silly puppydog.

Hello, Fluffsters!

So, I have a silly little dog. I’ve been recently realizing how silly she really is.

What sparks this? Well, dinner time for the doggy.

I’ve known for a while she isn’t quite normal when it comes to food. Back when we had the other dog as well, we needed to tell her to eat, otherwise the other dog would (try to) eat her food. These days, since we’re not worrying about the older dog eating her food, we just let her have her own schedule. She’ll (probably) eat when she’s hungry, so she seems to be doing ok.

But that’s not the funny part. No, the silliness comes when she is eating. Because, you see, for some reason she does not seem to want to eat her food out of her dish. I think it’s the (probable) French Poodle in her. She seems to need “the right ambiance” before she’ll eat. So, recently, I’ve noticed the little thing take a mouthful of food, trot all the way across the house, deposit the food on the floor, and then eat it.

Because that makes perfect sense.

Happy Monday!

Backable Summer Fun

Hi, Fluffsters!

Once again, we’re featuring a Kickstarter campaign on Total Fluff. However, this campaign is a real campaign that asked for a more reasonable amount. (Not the $10 egg salad campaign.)

Its purpose is wonderful.

Some guy invented a way to fill lots of water balloons really quickly. Now he’s making his invention for sale. Ok, so really, some time ago he said that he would make his invention available if he got funding on kickstarter. But since he’s at over 20 times his goal, and it’s still growing, it’s pretty safe to say that he’s making his invention for sale. So, yeah. You should

It would be fun to fill that many water balloons that quickly!

PB&J Pie Pockets

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Tuesday!

So, last night (aka, when I’m writing this), I had one of the most amazing experiences. (That might be a slight exaggeration. But anywho.) It was certainly one of the most amazing experiences of the evening, though. So that works.

Now, “what is this experience?” you might be asking. Well, I’ll tell you.

I baked “PB & J Pie Pockets”. (My own term.)

I was experimenting a bit with pie-crust baking. As you may recall, I did a bit of that last winter. But it’s been a while, so I wasn’t sure if I remembered how. And I don’t have the recipe that I used then. And I’m in a different place. So I wanted to see if I could make a pie-crust.

I ended up using this all butter recipe. The “All Butter” thing was a bit new to me, actually. I’d previously used a Crisco recipe. And I was hand-mixing stuffs instead of using a blender like suggested. So I was already a little unsure about the recipe.

And then the dough ended up not going to the “crumble” stage of mixing- it went to a very smooth consistency very quickly. So I got really worried, and thought I’d over-mixed the dough. Which is bad. I’d heard that over-mixed dough tastes (and feels) a lot like cardboard.

Nonetheless, I decided to press on. So I let it chill, then rolled it out, and cut out 8 circles with a cup.

I put a tad of peanut butter & jelly into four of the circles, and pressed another circle of pie dough on top to cover it up and try to keep the delightful stickiness from squishing out while being cooked. I put them in the oven for about 12-15 minutes (I don’t remember) at 375.

When they came out, they were visibly flaky. (Which is the sign of a good crust.) They also sounded flaky when I took them off of the lined cookie sheet.

Letting them cool was a bit difficult, since I really wanted to try one. Fortunately there were some towels to put away and an email or three to write.

By the time I was done with those tasks, the pies were cooled. And I tried one, and it was fantastic. (If I do say so myself.) The crust was light and flaky, and so tasty. The peanut-butter and strawberry jelly also made the pie pockets quite excellent.

So long story short, it was a very good evening.

Bringing “Fetch” To Another Level

Hi Fluffsters! I’m not sure if you’ve seen this before or not, but there’s another really cute video up on YouTube with a fluffy dog.

The dog starts off by stealing a baby’s toy. Which is sad. But then the puppy decides to apologize by bringing the sad little thing as many toys as possible. It’s really cute.

I hope that brought some much needed fluff to the beginning of your week! Wasn’t that cute?

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Happy beginning of a new week!

I recently saw this article, thanks to a friend or three on facebook, and thought that it was a good thing to read. It’s about the truth behind instagrammed pics and stuff.

I think this is probably fairly accurate. What about you?

Hello, Fluffsters!

Can you believe it’s once again Wednesday? Wow, time sure does fly, doesn’t it?

Anywho.

Recently, I’ve been having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.

And I discovered a way to make them even better. And this trick works on other sandwiches, too. Instead of plain wheat or white bread, use lightly toasted sourdough bread. It’s, like, one of the best things ever.

One of the other best things ever is using the lightly toasted sourdough for a chicken-and-avacado sandwich. Those are also amazingness in a lunch sized container.

I hope you find these tips useful! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hey Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

So yesterday, I saw one of the cutest links, and I totally needed to share it with you. It’s a series of pictures of animals. And the animals are trying typical animal-y things for the first time. And it is adorable. Seriously. Their facial expressions are so cute.

So you should totally check it out.

Have a great week!

Quote of the Day

Hiya, Fluffsters! Happy Wednesday!

So yesterday, I was reading old AP news articles. (Don’t ask.)

One of the quotes was rather amusing. Context: discussion of Argentine beef. Quote: “This steak is so healthful, it could almost pass itself off as a vegetable: low fat, hormone free, 100 percent organic.”

I’m going to start calling my steaks “vegetables” now… Anyone else want to join me?

One More Reason why Spinning Is Fantastic

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

As the weekend has come to a close, and therefore a lot of extra time for fun activities, I wanted to share with you one more advantage of having a hobby be spinning. As in, spinning yarn.

When spinning is a hobby, you can do fun things at the same time. Like watch Dr. Who. Or listen to Welcome To Night Vale. Or even have a conversation with a friend.

Basically, you can do pretty much anything that doesn’t require hands. And so it’s a lot of fun. I recommend it.

Anywho, happy Monday! I hope your week goes well.
