Inexpensive Summer Refreshers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit thisbrief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy Wednesday!

A couple of days ago, I tried an experiment. Yesterday, I tried the results of the experiment. And I am now going to share it with you.

Now, you might be wondering what the experiment was. And I’m going to tell you! It was…

Inexpensive Refreshing Summer Snacks: Coffee Ice Pops

Doesn’t that sound good? They’re fairly easy, too, if you have a k-cup machine and the tupperware popsicle makers.

As I said, I decided to experiment, and so I made six: 3 of two types.

The first type was plain iced coffee with milk. I made a 4-oz k-cup, and put in 2ozs of milk. (the popsicle makers hold 2 ozs each.)

Ingredients for coffee-pops

Iced Coffee!!! And Popsicle maker.

I poured that into three of the popsicle makers.

I then made 6 ounces of Vanilla Cappuccino k-cup stuffs, and poured it into the other three makers, and put the lids on them.

Prepping the Summer Snack of Coffee Ice

They’re ready to go in the freezer!

Finally, I stuck them in the freezer, and let them sit for a while. As in, overnight. I probably didn’t need to let them sit that long, but I didn’t want one before then.

I had one of the plain iced coffee ones yesterday morning:

Coffee Popsicle

Dark roast! Yum!

The first one I tried was unsweetened, mostly. It had milk in it, which is kinda sweet, but I didn’t put anything else in. So, it was nice. It was basically like an iced-coffee ice-cube. Or a cup of coffee in ice form. Cold, and coffee-ish. Not the traditional popsicle, but still fun.

I may or may not make more of those.

The other kind, which I just tried before writing this post, were pretty fantastic.

Summer treat: vanilla cappuccino popsicle

VANILLA!!! SUGAR!!!

This one tasted far more like a traditional ice cream bar popsicle thingy. It had the consistency of an ice cube, of course, but it tasted really good. It was sweet, and vanilla-y, and basically like a vanilla cappuccino.

The frozen-ness of it, though really smoothed out the flavor. It was quite nice!

So, there you have it. For the price of two ounces of milk, a coffee k-cup, and a cappuccino k-cup, there are six popsicle summer fun snack thingamabops.

Enjoy!

Anakin and Padme Cosplay: Very cute

Hi, Fluffsters!

So, I think I’ve mentioned epbot before. It’s one of my favorite blog websites.

Well, the other day, that blog shared a post from a different place, and oh my word it was very adorable! It’s basically a Disney Anakin cast member interacting with a probably 4 year old girl dressed as Padme. And as I said, it is adorable. Check it out.

Happy Sunday!

Rant: Animated Hair.

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Fluffsters, there is yet another problem in the world.

And that problem is animated hair.

This concern came up at one point shortly after watching Frozen for the first time, and then again after rewatching it. And seriously, what a problem there is! It gives totally unrealistic expectations! I mean, look at Anna. She goes from being a disheveled mess to OMG AMAZING CORONATION HAIR in less than a second.

And then Elsa. First of all, her hair is also amazing-perfect. Then there’s the issue of the physics of her hair doesn’t work. On coronation day, she starts with her hair up in a twisty-bun-y-thing, and then during her big song, it becomes a french braid. Well Fluffsters, there is no flippin’ way that can happen. Believe you me, I’ve tried to figure out any way to replicate it, since the movie certainly implies that there’s only one hairstyle at that time.

So all that to say, animation is totally unfair.

Happy Saturday!

Lizzie Bennet Diaries: ANOTHER break in Tea

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters!

Yes, it’s me putting a break in the tea series. I meant to run one on Jasmine Green Tea yesterday, but since Fluffy McGiggles decided to hijack that one again, that clearly didn’t happen.

And today there’s some nice “Fluff News” about something that happened yesterday, so I’ll just keep the Tea for another time. Maybe tomorrow, but likely not. Two days of interruption in a row really interrupts a series, wouldn’t you agree?

Anywho.

Today’s interruption comes because of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

For those of you unaware, the Lizzie Bennet Diaries is a vlog adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. It’s really well done, too.

The reason why there’s an interruption today: The people who do the Lizzie Bennet Diaries (LBD) just posted a new bonus video yesterday. And it’s sweet. And I’m guessing that many fans have already seen it, but that some of you might not even have known of its existence.

Anywho. Here’s the last Lizzie Bennet Diaries update:

And for those of you who haven’t already seen them, you should start from the beginning. They are worth it, and quite addicting.

Have fun!

Another “Tea” Interruption: Fake celebrity

Greetings, readers!

I am once again hijacking the Webmaster’s train of never-ending tea posts to bring you a post about a very amusing prank I just read about. And I apologize for that sentence- it rather got away from me.

The prank: Some average New Yorker decided to impersonate a celebrity for a day, and film the experience. He is actually a non-celebrity. The resulting footage is amusing.

I hope you have an excellent Tuesday.

Peppermint Tea: Part the Fifth

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Monday!

Today’s tea is especially good for calming nerves and helping focus for studies.

Yes, it is the wonderfully soothing…

Peppermint Tea.

This is the type of tea I used to carry around with me in a coat pocket. It would actually sneak up on me by surprise, sometimes. Or I would forget which coat it was in, and so I would look for it sometimes and be disappointed.

But yes. I primarily used Peppermint Chamomile. It’s another herbal-y tea. I have no idea about whether or not it had caffeine, but it was nice. And I’m quite sure that even if it has caffeine, it’s not as much as many beverages.

It’s just a nice one to have on hand when a hot beverage is appreciated, but caffeine is not.

It’s also a nice one when chilled.

Well, happy Monday! I hope you have a great week.

Tea Part 4: Thai Coconut Chai

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Saturday Sunday. Sorry about the delay- Fluffy changed the schedule without my noticing.

So today’s post should have been yesterday’s, but oh well. Here it is.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to have a caffeine free chai tea. It was pretty good! It was a naturally sweet “Sweetened Coconut Thai Chai” or something along along those lines. It was nice. I put some cream in it.

It wasn’t as good as a chai tea latte or something, but it was much better than plain water. I’d definitely take the Cinnamon Apple tea over this one, but it was still pretty good.

I hope you enjoy!

Happy Saturday Sunday!

I will force a break in “Tea” to give you this.

Greetings, readers.

Now, I am normally very well behaved, and do not interrupt the Webmaster’s regularly scheduled content, but something just came to light and needed to be shared immediately.

Are you aware of the comic “Calvin and Hobbes“?

Well, the author of Pearls Before Swine apparently managed to collaborate with the original artist, and the resulting blog post (and comics linked to the post) are well worth the read.

I hope you enjoy.

Recommendations for Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. (Part 3)

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Friday!

Today’s tea recommendation primarily comes from being a loyal fan.

Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

Yes, I’m a bit of a Trek nerd. I’m not as into it as some people are. (I can’t tell you what happened in a particular episode, just given the name for most of the episodes. However, I can for some.)

But all that to say, there was no way I could not include a little bit about Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

Earl Grey by itself is not my favorite. However, it can be quite nice. Especially if you put enough sweetener and cream in it. Once that happens, it’s quite nice.

I especially went through an Earl Grey phase last summer. I found it excellent for writing in the evening. (You know, like Fluff Posts…) There’s something calming about it. And kinda tasty. And inspirational.

Especially when you drink it from a nice mug.

Well, happy weekend! I hope your week’s been going well. And I hope you enjoy a nice cup of tea. Or Coffee. Or lemonade, because it’s summer and what am I doing even recommending hot beverages?

Ok, I’m done now. Bye!
