Licorice Spice — Tea Recommendations Part 2

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

As promised, here’s the next part of my Tea Recommendations Posts.

Licorice Spice Tea.

This has been a basically life-long favorite of mine. It’s an herbal tea again, so non-caffeinated. It’s one that Mom used to make me when I got sick.

Unlike what its name suggests, it actually doesn’t taste at all like black licorice. Its flavor is actually a bit difficult to describe, but it’s sweet (without even putting anything in it), and tastes a bit like home to me.

I recommend it. Especially if you have a cold or a cough.

Happy tea drinking!

Tea Recommendations part 1 — Cinnamon Apple Spice

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Wednesday!

Today, I’m going to talk to you about Teas. Most specifically, I’m going to recommend a particular type of tea. I will be recommending tea for the next several days, so this is just the first part.

Now, I am not a tea connoisseur. I’m generally far more a coffee type person. but I do enjoy a cup of tea every now and then- especially if coffee is unavailable, or if I want something a bit lighter. Or more tea-y.

Today’s recommendation (and review) is Celestial Seasonings’s “Cinnamon Apple Spice.”

This is one of my favorites. Which is why I’m recommending it.

I first encountered it when I was on a tour with a singing group a while ago. We were singing fairly intensively for a number of days. And towards the end of it, our voices were getting really tired. One of the places we were singing, though, fortunately had this type of tea for free.

It was amazing.

I had some, and it not only soothed my throat, it tasted the way the “Cinnamon Spice” room scent that Bath & Body Works sells smells. You know, that heavenly scent that smells like cinnamon spice and everything good about the holiday season? Yes. this tea tastes like that.

It’s primarily cinnamon based, but the apple smooths out the tone. It has a little bit of natural sweetness to it, too. And although the recommendation is to leave the teabag in for only 4-6 minutes, I’ve just left it in. And it only keeps getting better the longer you leave it in. (From my perspective.)

It’s now become one of my favorites.

So, if you’re looking to try something new with a hint of fruity sweetness, I recommend this tea.

It would be amazing as an iced tea, too. I haven’t done it yet, but I can tell.

Hm. I think I know what I’m doing tomorrow…

Well, have a great Wednesday! I hope you have a nice cup of tea. (Or coffee. Or something.)

Really Interesting Vid about Celebrity Trailers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Random trivia for you. Did you know that some trailers (as in the thing people drive) can cost more than a normal home?

Yup.

I just saw a very interesting video about some trailers that movie stars sometimes use when they’re on the go. Apparently these trailers are made special for them, and are designed to be kinda like the mansions a lot of these people are used to.

But it’s interesting all the detail that goes into them.

Some of the trailers are even two-storied!

You should totally watch the video.

Have a great Tuesday!

Differences in Thought Processes for Windows 8

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Monday!

So. As I mentioned, I got a new computer the other day!

It came with Windows 8. It’s a touch screen. That has led to some… fun. Especially with scrolling. You see, Windows 8 at least on this computer is trying to use a different method of scrolling. It’s a method that kinda makes sense, but it’s still really odd. Basically, you scroll in the direction you want the current view to go.

Previously, especially with scrollbar thingies, you scrolled in the direction you wanted the scrollbar on the side of the screen to go.

And that’s the opposite direction.

So, it’s led to some definite confusion, but at least I sorta understand what it’s doing now, and that’s making it a little easier.

How about you? Have any of you had any “fun” transitioning between the different Windows systems?

Amazing Music Performance Video

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

So. Somebody on Facebook shared a very amusing link.

Wow. what a shocker.

I know, right?

But they did! This link was a video of an instrumental music video thingy. It’s worth looking at. You should watch it.

Have you watched it yet?

It’s ok, I’ll wait.

So, are you back? Wasn’t it amusing?

I thought it was kindof like a “battle of the bands” thing, except that it was with instruments from a quartet.

I also thought it was quite funny.

What did you think?

One of the sparsest tutorials I’ve ever seen…

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Friday!

So. Friday. That means that it’s basically the WEEKEND! And that means you’ll (in theory) have TIME for stuffs!

To help you fill that time, I have searched the webs, and found an interesting looking tutorial for you to look at.

(Ok, so, actually, a friend shared this on her facebook wall and I decided it would make good fluff material. That’s kinda beside the point.)

But yeah. It’s a tutorial for “cute yummy dog sandwiches.”

And to be fair, they are cute.

However, the tutorial has me a bit baffled… So, the writer mentions the recipe for the bread. But that’s it.

There’s no mention of what to use to make the eyes. Or what, besides a hotdog of some sort, goes into the sandwich part. Or even how to tell “when the dough is ready.”

So, fluffsters, this is my challenge for you this week. What do you think the missing ingredients are? Clearly this is a fairly, um, sparse tutorial. What are the hidden elements? Do you think the eyes and nose are made from chocolate? If not, do you think it would be better if they were?

I would love to hear from you in the comments!

I have a new shiny!

Hello, Fluffsters!

So, I’m really happy. I have a new shiny!

You got another ring?

What? No!

I got a new computer! Can’t you tell?

No… Why do you think I would be able to know?

Well, I’m using it to write this fluff post…

Webmaster, surely you do not think I can actually tell what computer you are using?

…Uh… No. No. Of course I wouldn’t think something like that…

But yeah.

So, I’m still getting to know the computer. I can’t quite tell whether it’s going to get a male or female pronoun associated with it yet, but it’s a sweet little machine!

It has its quirks, but so far they’re reasonable. For example, to save space, the “end”, “home”, “page up”, and “page down” buttons are hidden on the arrow keys. But it’s also got some really nice speakers! And some easy volume control sorts of things. F6, for example, is insta-mute. F7 is volume down, F8 is volume up. And it has an easy airplane mode button!

Also, it can go into tablet mode. And it’s thin, so it basically kinda works as a tablet!

As I said, it’s a sweet little machine.

Well, I hope you have a good day! Smile, it’s almost the weekend!

I saw a Star Destroyer!!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Tuesday!

So, last night was fun. I got to see a real live Star Destroyer!

Wait, you something capable of destroying a star?

Well, kinda. Basically, it was made out of clouds…

Oh. You mean you saw a cool cloud formation.

Well, yes. But it looked like a Star Destroyer! I’m serious- just look at this!

A cloud star destroyer

The Star Destroyer is in the lower middle

I do not see anything of note…

Ok, I’ll isolate it for you.

A more focused look at the star destroyer cloud

A little less distractions…

Unfortunately, the pictures really don’t do it justice. But it seriously looked like a Star Destroyer. And it was really cool!

Anywho. I hope you have a good day!
