Seasonal Songs: How Great our Joy

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I had almost forgotten about this favorite Christmas Carol of mine: “How Great Our Joy”. This version I am sharing with you is another Cambridge Singers version. It alas ends with a major chord instead of in the key that the rest of the song is in. However, it is one of the better tone qualities around, and thus I am sharing this version. I hope you enjoy.

Have a lovely Christmas Eve!

Greetings, readers!

Today’s piece is “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night”. It is a Christmas Hymn that not that many people are aware of. I certainly do not know it that well; I encountered it only very recently on YouTube. However, it is a lovely piece. I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you have a lovely Monday.

Seasonal Music: Walking in the Air

Greetings, readers!

Today’s selection comes from a short video called “The Snowman”. The video was (apparently) created in 1982, and is a charming video worth tracking down and watching. During the video, there is a lovely piece. It is assuredly seasonal, and thus I am sharing it. I hope you enjoy, and I hope you get to track down the video and enjoy that too.

Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence — Seasonal Songs

Greetings, readers!

Today’s less common seasonal song is another chant style piece. It is “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence”.

This one is a bit more complicated in terms of its seasonality. Although it is frequently classified as a “Eucharist” hymn, it also has a verse with Christmas symbology and is therefore used more frequently as an “advent” hymn.

Regardless, it is lovely. I am taking advantage of its semi-advent-status to post it here now.

Have a lovely Wednesday.
