Hi!

So, there’s a lovely Facebook video of a chocolate sculptor. I recommend it. (No need for sound.)

Enjoy!

NEW STAR WARS VIII FOOTAGE!

Hi!

THERE’S NEW STAR WARS FOOTAGE AND I ONLY JUST FOUND OUT AND I AM FEELING SIMULTANEOUSLY EXCITED AND LIKE A HORRIBLE FANGIRL.

Ok, Webmaster… Take time to breathe…

But… but STAR WARS!!!!

I mean, just LOOK at it!

Some of those little alien puppets they’ve got? ADORABLE. I’m looking forward to December!

Anyway. Have a good Tuesday! (STAR WARS!)

WHY are there “backgrounds” for Facebook Posts?!

Hi.

I’ve been on Facebook recently. And there’s a newish feature that’s been driving me crazy. It’s those STUPID BACKGROUNDS THAT MAKE YOUR STATUS LOOK LIKE AN E-CARD.

I mean, seriously. Every time I see one, I assume it’s going to be some sort of well-wish-y greeting thing. And then it’s actually JUST A BOG-STANDARD STATUS. Except it has COLOR. That probably doesn’t even go with the mood of your status!!! (ARGH!)

Yeah, that’s my thought. What about you? Anyone else think “ooh, e-card”?

“Top One-Percentile” does not mean what they think it means

Greetings, readers!

There is an ad for a movie that I find particularly aggravating. I can usually skip past it fairly quickly, but not quite quickly enough for an utterly atrocious phrase to occur: The lead actress is in the top “one percentile” of actresses.

That means she is better than 1% of the other actresses.

ONE. PERCENT.

That’s IT.

I understand the person presumably meant to say “percent”, not “percentile.”

The sentence is still aggravating.

How about you? Are there any ads that have been particularly annoying you recently?

A Stranger Thing About This Site

Hi!

So.The other day, when I was writing the first post about Stranger Things (and the new Hillywood parody announcement!), I searched the blog to find if I’d already mentioned the show or not.

According to the blog, I didn’t.

Also, according to the blog, old posts about things to do when really excited do count as Stranger Things.

I found that… interesting. So, yep!

Have a lovely Saturday!

Stranger Things are yet to come…

Hi!

Last year around this time, Netflix released their original series “Stranger Things.” I liked it a lot.

(One downside, however… There’s a Christian Song where the chorus is “Greater things are yet to come”. And for some reason, whenever I hear the words “Stranger Things”, I substitute those words in for the chorus. And I don’t even like that song!)

Anyway. Yesterday, The Hillywood Show indicated that thy’re going to be making that their next parody! So, I’m pretty excited about that.

(They even have a release video and stuff.)

So, yup! Have a lovely Thursday. After all, stranger things are yet to come…

Pinterest has removed their aggravating “JOIN OR DIE”!

Hi!

So. For the past few years, I’ve been deliberately excluding pinterest from my search results, because they had an absolutely obnoxious thing where they would basically block your view of anything if you weren’t a member.

Well, I’m happy to report that it seems to have changed! I’m still not a member, but the stupid pop-up(ish) windows haven’t been appearing. That makes me happy.

Enjoy!

Bobby pins and Hairspray

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

Yesterday, I put my hair up in something fancier than a pony tale for the first time in a while. And I was reminded of something.

With enough hairspray, it can sometimes be hard to tell if your hair’s just stiff, or if you left a bobby pin in by mistake.

So, that was fun. (I’m fairly sure it was just hairspray. Crunching my hair later didn’t reveal anything. Or I could have just lost a(nother) bobby. You know.)

Anyway, happy Tuesday!
