A Company’s Rather Charming Response

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I hope you are having a good Tuesday.

Before we get to the actual post, I would like to apologize in advance. I normally try to avoid your world’s politics, as this is supposed to be a relaxing place to go every day, or at least a place to laugh. Politics usually ends up offending someone, however, so I normally try to avoid it.

With that said, I am sharing this piece more for the idea behind it, rather than the ideas presented. For you see, the New York Times apparently published an article against one of your world’s major corporations: Walmart. Walmart, in turn, decided against taking it personally, and instead “graded” the piece.

I personally found that to be a rather amusing way of responding to criticism.

Regardless of how you feel about the politics of the matter, I hope you enjoy the official response. After all, whoever wrote the response has a sense of humor.

I hope you have a good Tuesday!

A Story About Goldfish

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Monday!

So, I realized I never really wrote about some of the pets I had early on as a child. So, I’m going to tell you about my stereotypical pets: My Goldfish from way back when.

My first dog, who was around before I existed, died when I was in preschool. Starting probably close to the day after, I was very interested in getting a new pet.

About a year or two later, my parents decided that pet fish would be worthwhile.

I was so happy.

My favorites were the goldfish feeder-fish ones that we got. Feeder-fish, by the way, are the cheapest types of fish you can get- people traditionally get them to feed carnivorous fish like piranhas. We decided to get them and let them grow.

And they grew a lot. Seriously. Feeder-fish start off about the size of a thumbnail. Ours grew to be between about 4-6 inches.

Mom’s fish was a white one. That always confused me, as to how gold fish could be white. But it worked. The fish got the name Marshmallow. And it fit.

The one my older sister claimed was a pretty white and gold one named Dreamsicle. Dreamsicle was a pretty one.

Mine was named stripes because, you guessed it, he had a black stripe down his back. When we first got him, anyways.

Now, Dreamsicle and Marshmallow’s names fit them throughout their entire lives. (And all three of them lived probably a good three or more years. They were old fish.)

Stripes’s name, however… We noticed, as he started to grow, that the stripe didn’t exactly grow much. At all. So as he kept getting bigger and bigger, the stripe got smaller and smaller. It was very funny- we eventually had a mustachioed fish that was solid orange everywhere else named… Stripes.

It was fun having a fish.

Well, I hope you have a good week!

How to have lunch for less than a dollar

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Happy Sunday!

So, today I figured out a new trick. You can very easily have lunch for less than a dollar. Yes, I mean it!

It’s doable in only two steps.

First, find something that costs less than a dollar and eat it. A gumball does not work, since you don’t actually eat it. An apple pie from McDonalds does, though. Call that your lunch.

2) Call anything else you eat at that time a “snack.” Or between then and dinner / breakfast / whatever.

Voila, you’ve now had lunch for less than a dollar!

Happy Sunday!

I’m feeling proud of how I’ve trained “my” ads

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

So, I’m feeling pleased with myself.

Again?

Yes, again. You see, I’ve trained my ads.

Oh. I am so glad you explained that. I was simply dying to know what sort of nonanswer you would give this time.

You’re welcome!

Oh, that was sarcasm again. Wasn’t it.

How astute.

Right. Ok then… So.

Basically, I’ve mostly trained the advertisements that Google shows me.

I now get advertisements for the fibers I already know about and want to spin, and fabric that I already know exists and want to have a project that lets me purchase some and play with it.

And that sentence of yours broke.

Yeah, I guess it did.

That doesn’t change the fact that I’ve successfully trained Google to show me things I already want to buy, and like to shop for anyways! Yay!

Congratulations. This may be one of your finest hours.

Thanks!

…Wait a second. Was that sarcasm again?

I am not going to answer that question in any useful way.

Fine.

Well, Fluffsters, I hope your week finishes well!

Inexpensive Summer Refreshers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit thisbrief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy Wednesday!

A couple of days ago, I tried an experiment. Yesterday, I tried the results of the experiment. And I am now going to share it with you.

Now, you might be wondering what the experiment was. And I’m going to tell you! It was…

Inexpensive Refreshing Summer Snacks: Coffee Ice Pops

Doesn’t that sound good? They’re fairly easy, too, if you have a k-cup machine and the tupperware popsicle makers.

As I said, I decided to experiment, and so I made six: 3 of two types.

The first type was plain iced coffee with milk. I made a 4-oz k-cup, and put in 2ozs of milk. (the popsicle makers hold 2 ozs each.)

Ingredients for coffee-pops

Iced Coffee!!! And Popsicle maker.

I poured that into three of the popsicle makers.

I then made 6 ounces of Vanilla Cappuccino k-cup stuffs, and poured it into the other three makers, and put the lids on them.

Prepping the Summer Snack of Coffee Ice

They’re ready to go in the freezer!

Finally, I stuck them in the freezer, and let them sit for a while. As in, overnight. I probably didn’t need to let them sit that long, but I didn’t want one before then.

I had one of the plain iced coffee ones yesterday morning:

Coffee Popsicle

Dark roast! Yum!

The first one I tried was unsweetened, mostly. It had milk in it, which is kinda sweet, but I didn’t put anything else in. So, it was nice. It was basically like an iced-coffee ice-cube. Or a cup of coffee in ice form. Cold, and coffee-ish. Not the traditional popsicle, but still fun.

I may or may not make more of those.

The other kind, which I just tried before writing this post, were pretty fantastic.

Summer treat: vanilla cappuccino popsicle

VANILLA!!! SUGAR!!!

This one tasted far more like a traditional ice cream bar popsicle thingy. It had the consistency of an ice cube, of course, but it tasted really good. It was sweet, and vanilla-y, and basically like a vanilla cappuccino.

The frozen-ness of it, though really smoothed out the flavor. It was quite nice!

So, there you have it. For the price of two ounces of milk, a coffee k-cup, and a cappuccino k-cup, there are six popsicle summer fun snack thingamabops.

Enjoy!

Fluffy Dragons: A New Crafting Desire

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters!

So, recently, I came across a totally epic craft project that I really want to try at some point.

Some people have felted dragons.

I’ve only seen them online, so I’m not entirely sure what they actually look like in real life. But even online they look amazing.

The first one I saw was a lovely fire-toned one. The person apparently received it (and a Pegasus) as a gift.

The other two that I saw are really amazing. They’re by the same artist.

The first I saw is a green one with a tail that can wrap around your hand.

The other is a black one. (Ok, so it’s technically a wyvern. Oh well.)

Seriously, I really want to have time (and money) to learn how to felt now!

Well, happy Tuesday!

Anakin and Padme Cosplay: Very cute

Hi, Fluffsters!

So, I think I’ve mentioned epbot before. It’s one of my favorite blog websites.

Well, the other day, that blog shared a post from a different place, and oh my word it was very adorable! It’s basically a Disney Anakin cast member interacting with a probably 4 year old girl dressed as Padme. And as I said, it is adorable. Check it out.

Happy Sunday!

Rant: Animated Hair.

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Fluffsters, there is yet another problem in the world.

And that problem is animated hair.

This concern came up at one point shortly after watching Frozen for the first time, and then again after rewatching it. And seriously, what a problem there is! It gives totally unrealistic expectations! I mean, look at Anna. She goes from being a disheveled mess to OMG AMAZING CORONATION HAIR in less than a second.

And then Elsa. First of all, her hair is also amazing-perfect. Then there’s the issue of the physics of her hair doesn’t work. On coronation day, she starts with her hair up in a twisty-bun-y-thing, and then during her big song, it becomes a french braid. Well Fluffsters, there is no flippin’ way that can happen. Believe you me, I’ve tried to figure out any way to replicate it, since the movie certainly implies that there’s only one hairstyle at that time.

So all that to say, animation is totally unfair.

Happy Saturday!
