Next-To-Last(ish) Day for Christmas Music

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello!

So. It’s Christmas Eve. (It’s also the first day of Hanukkah. So, Happy Hanukkah to any of you who celebrate that!)

But given that Christmas is tomorrow, that means there are about two days left to over-play Christmas Music before it becomes post-Christmas. (Ok, yeah. Not quite true, since the official holiday-day of the US is on the following Monday, and therefore you should be allowed to play Christmas music then. And I think a lot of people do play it over December. Still. Christmas is tomorrow.)

So, here’s a friendly reminder that the “Christmas Can-Can” exists.

Happy Christmas Eve!

Wassail Song and Wassailing

Hi!

So, tonight’s my family’s annual Christmas Caroling Party. In honor of that, I thought I’d share a fantastic arrangement of the “Wassail Song”. It’s gorgeous.

Also, fun fact. It turns out that “Wassail” doesn’t just mean “hot cider”. It does, in fact, mean “caroling” at this point. I thought the connection between the two definitions was kinda funny. You can basically understand the whole history of that word. First, you have Wassail as the alcoholic warm cider.

Then you have people going around town singing drunkenly. Since Cider is especially a Christmas-y drink, the singers (or those going “Wassailing”) would probably primarily try for Christmas Carols.

Hence, “Wassailing” now also meaning Christmas Caroling.

So, yep. Have a lovely Friday!

It’s WINTER!

Hi!

As some of you may know, Winter Solstice was yesterday. And the Steam Winter Sale supposedly starts sometime today. So, HAPPY WINTER!!

I personally think it’s one of the *coolest* seasons.

In honor of the season, I’m going to share a song that Fluffy shared last year: “Blow, Blow thou winter wind.” It’s lovely, and seasonal.

So, yep! I hope you have a lovely Winter!

Liam Neeson as Mall Santa

Hello!

As some of you are probably aware, there’s a video of Liam Neeson that came out pretty recently. It’s of him “auditioning to be a Mall Santa.”

For some background: Liam Neeson is the one who played Qui-Gon. He also played a few other major action-y parts, including the main lead (so I understand) from the movie “Taken.” (In that film, there is a fairly famous speech about how he will track someone down, and on…)

So, yeah. Enjoy the “Mall Santa Audition”!

(spoiler free) Rogue One Pet Peeve

Hi!

So. I have a pet peeve pertaining to Rogue One. Well, sortof.

It’s more a pet peeve concerning people’s reactions to Rogue One.

For some reason, people keep on commenting about Bothans, and whether or not any die. This bothers me.

THAT’S ABOUT THE WRONG FREAKIN’ DEATH STAR!!!!

The Comment/quote in Question, “Many Bothans died to bring us this information”, is from STAR WARS VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI.. So, DEATH STAR 2.

NOT the Death Star 1.0, which gets blown up in Star Wars IV: A New Hope.

Anyway. That’s my primary (spoiler free) peeve regarding Rogue One.

Have a lovely Monday!

My dog is a bit tilted.

Howdy!

So, I previously posted about how my dog deliberately finds lumpy places to sleep. (Go figure.)

Well, today? I caught her not only on a lumpy location, but also with her body above her head. So, you know. Blood-rush towards he head. Or something.

It was cute, but in a “whatever, dog!” type of way.

And here’s a picture as proof.

Have a lovely day!

My Rogue One questions have been (mostly) answered.

Hi!

So, as I posted yesterday, I got to see Rogue One yesterday night! (Opening night! Yay!)

I am happy to report that a variety of the questions I asked in the previous post were answered. There are now new followup questions (like, how did they do THAT?!) but that’s part of the fun. I hope I’ll get to watch some of the behind-the-scenes when it comes out on DVD.

Oh, and yes, I do recommend watching it. I enjoyed it. (I do recommend keeping the timeline in mind, though… No, I’m not saying any more than that.) So, yep!

Have a lovely Friday!

I get to see the new Star Wars story soon, and I’m excited!!

Hi!

So, in case you didn’t remember, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” technically is released tomorrow. In reality, that means it comes out tonight. And I have a great friend who’s organized an opening night adventure to go see it, and so I get to go see it soon! Whee!

(In case you couldn’t tell, I’m a bit excited about this.)

So, yeah. As you know, I’ve seen the trailers. I’ve done my best to not do anything spoiler-y, though. I have no clue what to expect. (I don’t even know who’s composing the soundtrack! Is it John Williams again? (I kinda hope so!) Will there be opening scroll-text? (I’m ambivalent about this, since it’s not one of the “official” Star Wars-es.) Will there be any Major Character overlap? (Besides Darth Vader, obviously, since we’ve seen him in the trailers…)

I don’t yet know. But I’ll be finding out soon! YAY!

…Yep.

Anyway. Happy Thursday!

My hair does NOT smell like bubblegum

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello!

I’m dealing with a slightly odd experience at the moment. I switched to a different hair conditioner. And it has an interesting smell. The best way to describe it is “bubblegum-y”. Except that it’s really not. It’s kinda sorta reminiscent of the fake bubblegum scent, but it’s still not entirely the scent associated with six-year-old-girls’ hair products.

So, yeah. I’m at a loss for words.

–as demonstrated by the 50 written above there.

Now I believe you.

Yeah. So. Anyway. About all I can say right now is my hair does not smell like bubblegum. And even if it did, it probably still wouldn’t, because it would actually be the conditioner that had the scent, not the hair itself. So there.

Anyway. Have a lovely day!

Of Dogs and Lumpy Locations

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So. My dog. She’s being silly again.

I’ve noticed that she tends to find lumpy locations to sleep. If you give her the option of a nice, smooth bed, or a place with bunched-up fabric, she’ll take the bunched-up fabric. Always.

My best bet is that the lumpiness speaks to her inner-wolf by better imitating a cave. Or something. (No, I don’t quite know how to combine that with the fact that fabricy things aren’t as hard as rocky things. At least, they shouldn’t be…)

Anyway. I find it silly.

How about you? Do your animals do anything weird or ridiculous?
