Twelve “Twelve Days of Christmas” Challenge – 1

Hiya, Fluffsters!

This blog is now taking part in a new challenge that I’m making up.

…Oh?

Yup!

It’s, “Can this blog post 12 different ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ songs?”

…Good to know.

Yup.

I’m going to start off with a lovely arrangement from the King’s Singers and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It’s a long one, but it is, as I said, a very pretty arrangement. (Maybe a bit boring, but at least we’re starting with a semi-traditional style.)

Happy Sunday!

It scares me that some people can do this to their hair…

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I recently encountered this video:

And I found it terrifying.

Not because of the way it looks. It’s certainly a unique style, and one I probably wouldn’t choose even if I had straight hair, but that’s not the scary part.

Nope. For me, the scary part is the thought of trying to do that to my hair. AAACK.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I have naturally curly hair. More accurately, naturally tangly hair. I legitimately braid it every. single. night. in order to ensure that it doesn’t spontaneously generate birds or something, since it would turn into a birds’ nest. (I’m actually fairly picky about who I let even touch my hair, since it tangles (or tangled) that badly…)

So the thought of deliberately adding tangles to my hair is just terrifying. (Yes, I have lost bobby-pins. And hair clips. And I’ve occasionally even needed to cut out the little hair spin-y thingies, because they get caught…)

So, yeah.

That’s not to say that I don’t do things with my hair, though. On the contrary, playing with my hair is one of my primary forms of stress-relief / procrastination-when-I’m-not-online / procrastination-when-I-am-online-and-want-to-look-for-new-braids. Especially when my hair’s longer.

And who knows? Maybe someday I’ll make a hair tutorial or something.

It probably won’t be quite so scary, though…

Anywho, happy Friday!

Christmas Season- Music on my Playlist (part 1)

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

Now that it is December, I am willing to discuss favorite Christmas and New Years music and celebration plans. Doing so before would have been too early.

But why would it have been a problem? What’s wrong with “too early”?

Well, I would claim that we value things (such as Christmas music) more when it is designated as “special”. If we were to therefore start playing Christmas music before December– or worse, before Thanksgiving– would we be decreasing the value of the music by “allowing” it to be played at any given time of the year? Would that not make it less special? Might that then decrease our evaluation of the music, and lead us to despair near the heart of midwinter, with but a single day to look forward to, thus ending life as we know it?

I think your roots in melodrama are showing again.

Be that as it may, I am trying to save your world here by not posting Christmas music earlier.

However, since it is now December, here is one of my favorites. It is another Lindsey Stirling piece, and I enjoy it for the music. The story line of her video is a bit sad, but the music is excellent.

I hope you enjoy it!

New Star Wars Trailer!!!!

Hiya, Fluffsters!!

So, as I’m sure you’re aware, THE FIRST TRAILER FOR THE NEW STAR WARS MOVIE WAS RELEASED YESTERDAY!!

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m really looking forward to this movie. I’m going to benefit from it either way, after all. If it’s good, I’ll get to see a good movie! (And the trailer makes it look encouraging.) If it’s bad, there’ll still be more Darths and Droids comics.

(Actually, there’ll be more comics either way So, that’s fun.)

But the trailer makes me hopeful for the movie itself. It looks like it could be a lot of fun, and possibly a good movie!

Happy Saturday!
