New Craft!: Tunisian/Afghan Crochet

Hi!

I started learning a new style of craft project thingy!

It’s called Tunisian, or Afghan, crochet. It’s basically a cross between knitting and crocheting. And basically? It’s really fun.

I’m still learning, so I haven’t done anything with nice yarn, or a real project or anything. But yep!

Fun with Afghan/Tunisian Crochet!

How about you? How are you spending your Saturday?

Two Old Memes

Hi!

I was chatting with someone the other day —

–Good for you–

–And I was informed that there is a piece of what I thought was common internet knowledge that may not actually be common internet knowledge. Specifically, the Ceiling Cat / Basement Cat memes.

So, yeah. Those are things. Both kitties are watching you. One from above, the other from below.

And they’re cute cats.

Yup.

Happy Friday!

Sword from the Blood of Enemies

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, you know the idea of a sword forged with the blood of your enemies? (Generally, with the expectation that the sword will be tempered in the blood, instead of with whatever they usually use?)

Well, somebody figured out how many people would need to be killed in order to forge a sword literally from the blood. As in, extracting the metal and using it to forge a sword.

It’s worth reading.

Have fun! (AND DON’T KILL ANYONE!)

An Art Altercation, Apparently

Hi!

So, there’s apparently an art altercation going on. I think that what happened is an artist worked with a chemistry company to create a dangerous(ish), but awesome new thing to make art with: The Blackest Black. Seriously, the stuff makes the thing “painted” with it look like a black hole.

Anyway. Supposedly, some artist sculptor has access to the substance (“Vantablack”) and isn’t sharing. (In part because it’s not exactly safe!!) and that has other artists ticked.

So, there’s a feud, with a different artist making paints preventing the first artist from buying them.

Because art.

Happy Saturday!

Steps to reading the perfect Fluff Post

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, I have some good news, and I have some bad news.

The good news is, I thought of a perfect fluff post!

The bad news is, I wasn’t at my computer at the time, I didn’t write it down, and I don’t remember it.

So, if you want to know what it was, here are some steps you’ll need to follow.

a. Learn to read my mind.

2. Develop time-travel, and go back to yesterday. Or maybe it was the day before. I don’t actually remember.

iii. Track me down. Try not to appear too stalkery, though.

Last. Read my mind, and get the benefit of the Fluff.

Or, as an alternate, you can readjust your standards and expectations so that this post is perfectly satisfying. You choose.

Have a lovely Friday!

Wear out a dog with 10 easy steps!

Hi!

Yesterday afternoon, I had the fun opportunity to watch a friend’s hyperactive puppy. (He’s a young miniature black poodle. Very cute.)

And I made some (re)discovery(/ies).

a) Stairs can tire out dogs.

2) Especially if the dog is curious and pulls out in front (while on a lead), it’s quite possible to let the dog go up and down the equivalent of multiple flights of stairs without doing so yourself. So, with about 10 stairs nearby, I was able to go up a couple, he would dash up to the top of the section, and then I could turn around and walk down, and he would join.

Repeating that multiple times worked pretty well!

Have fun exercising puppies!
