I had an amusing interaction with a dog yesterday. Well, the dog was amusing. Somewhat. Because of language.
Anyway. It was literally a dog that went “Bark.” Like, if I were to transliterate what the dog sounded like, it would be b-a-r-k. (With a softer k.)
The dog’s voice itself was also about the same volume as a normal human.
So, yeah. Dogs actually do bark. At least sometimes.

So, for some reason I was recently reminded of a stuffed animal I used to have. It was a cute stuffed hippo. I named her Moose.

And not even a remotely connected type of animal?
Yep.
Ok, so to be fair, her full name was Happy Patty Moose.
But I just called her Moose. For obvious reasons. So, yep!

Quick quiz for you! If you are really tired, you know you got to your current location at 7:00am, and it is now 2:00pm, how do you calculate how long you’ve been at this location?
a) Remember that 7+5=12+2= 7 hours?
b) Realize that 12+2=14-7= 7 hours? or
c) Remember that 9-3 is six hours, so 9-(3-1=2)=5 hours, and 9-2=7:00am, and therefore 5 hours + 2 hours = 7 hours?

So. As you’re probably aware, one of the common greetings is “What’s Up?”
I usually respond with some variation of “The Sky”, “The ceiling”, or (if we’re not on the top story of the building) “The Floor.”
At that point, people usually either sigh and roll their eyes, groan, or try to be snarky back with, “You could also say the sky, the moon, the stars…”
It occurs to me, though, that you might not actually be able to reply “the moon”, from a certain point of view. Because, you see, once you get close enough, the moon has its own gravity, and is therefore down.
So, yeah. That just occurred to me. But, it means I’m still fully justified in my usual responses!

So. I was recently rewatching “Sky High“. (It’s a fun, totally cheesy Disney Superhero movie.)
One of the main characters, Layla, is a “hero support” student.
It also turns out that the same person is a hero-supporter (Caitlin Snow) in “The Flash“.
So, Sky High worked! It just may have taken a hop to an alternate universe for that particular person.
