Another organ piece that sounds like the original

Hi!

So, to continue on with yesterday’s “Organ covers of instrumental where organ is the featured instrument”, there’s another fantastic piece. This one is from Interstellar. And it also sounds a lot like the original.

And, of course, it’s very impressive.

Enjoy!

I don’t know if this fits the theme but it’s still awesome.

Hi!

So, the last two days, I’ve been sharing organ “covers” of orchestral pieces.

I’m not entirely sure to what extent this one counts, because it basically sounds exactly like the original… which featured organ.

It’s still pretty epic, and it’s still organ, so I’m considering it working.

Especially about 90 seconds in, when he literally pulls out all the stops. (That’s what the peg-thingies are called. And I believe that’s where the term came from.)

Anyway. Enjoy!

Another VERY impressive organ piece!

Hi!

To continue with the theme from yesterday, here’s another very impressive organ “cover” of a different piece. (I don’t actually know the original, but the organ itself makes the piece lovely. Like, I expect the organist could have played and held a single note, and it would have been neat sounding. And instead, it’s insanely complicated, and so it’s really cool.)

Enjoy!

Lovely New Music

Greetings, readers!

The Webmaster and I both have previously shared music by the group “Two Steps from Hell”, or TSFH. They are the group that composes the grand epic music.

Two days ago, they released to YouTube a new favorite. It is called “Stallion”. (I am not entirely sure why.)

Enjoy.

Because Valentine’s Day calls for Poetry and Music

Hi!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Rather than a Valentine, I thought I’d share a celebrity reading poetry, and my current favorite love song.

So, yep.

Here you go! I hope you have a great one!

Cool music “mashup” Year II

Greetings, readers!

As some of you may recall, exactly one year ago, I posted about a rather fantastic classical music “mashup”. That piece had a variety of famous composers’ music combined, on the piano, to make a rather lovely sounding piece.

The creator of that mashup has now released the second one.

Enjoy.

Wassail Song and Wassailing

Hi!

So, tonight’s my family’s annual Christmas Caroling Party. In honor of that, I thought I’d share a fantastic arrangement of the “Wassail Song”. It’s gorgeous.

Also, fun fact. It turns out that “Wassail” doesn’t just mean “hot cider”. It does, in fact, mean “caroling” at this point. I thought the connection between the two definitions was kinda funny. You can basically understand the whole history of that word. First, you have Wassail as the alcoholic warm cider.

Then you have people going around town singing drunkenly. Since Cider is especially a Christmas-y drink, the singers (or those going “Wassailing”) would probably primarily try for Christmas Carols.

Hence, “Wassailing” now also meaning Christmas Caroling.

So, yep. Have a lovely Friday!
