Advantages of Southwest vs. American Airlines

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello!

I recently did a bit of traveling. I flew out on an American Airlines flight, and came back via Southwest. And the two together reminded me of some of the differences, and why I’m generally opting for Southwest these days.

1) Southwest has always had enough room for carry-on baggage. Every time I’ve flown American, however, they always ask for volunteers to gate-check bags. If not enough people volunteer, they end up being gatechecked anyway. That doesn’t happen with Southwest, from my experience.

2) Boarding. Boarding with Southwest is so much faster. There aren’t assigned seats, and so people are able to go fairly quickly, since they folks at the beginning of the boarding process can just keep going if they don’t like a spot, or if it’s too crowded.

3) Snacks! I know this is a silly thing, but Southwest usually gives out free peanuts or pretzels. And sometimes cookies, or other things like that. American charges for food.

So, next time you fly, you might want to keep these things in mind. Happy travelling!

What To Do Today

Hi!

Happy Saturday!

In case you were bored, here’s an idea for an activity. (First, context: Movies leave Netflix at times.)

So, “Lilo & Stitch” and “The Emperor’s New Groove” are both currently on Netflix. That changes pretty soon, though. So if you enjoyed them, and want to rewatch them while it’s still “Netflix Easy”, I’d recommend doing so soon.

Have fun!

Does Firefox Know Me?

Hi!

So, the other day, I was actually using Firefox instead of Chrome. And this happened.

Don't let dress codes get in the way of fun socks!

It summarizes my philosophy towards socks!

Seriously. Several of my favorite Christmas/Birthday gifts the past few years have included fun socks! I was inspired by a teacher at a place with definite dresscodes for everything except the socks. So, yep. It’s as though Firefox knows me!

Which, again, it shouldn’t. My main browsing isn’t through Firefox. Oh well. Fun times!

Happy Thursday!

ALL the U-Haul Trucks!

Hello!

So, I’m currently in an apartment complex that does yearly leases, generally from September to September.

I was especially reminded of this yesterday when I passed no less than seven U-Haul trucks.

Of course, I”m not sure whether it’s impressive that there were seven in the complex at the same time, or whether I should be surprised that there were only seven, in a complex with over 100 leases…

So, yep.

That was yesterday. People start moving in soon, so I guess even MORE of the moving trucks will be showing up. Whee!

Happy Thursday!

You know those times when you feel like you’ve forgotten something…?

So. You know those times when you wake up, maybe feeling like you forgot to do something, but you go about your day like normal? And then you realize a few hours later that you totally forgot to pre-write your daily blog-post the night before?

Because I’m not saying that I do. I’m just asking. For a friend. You know.

In related news, sorry this post is late. I’ll blame the dragons for this one.

…You are really going to pin the lateness of the fluff post on the dragons? Why in the world would they wish to intervene in something so trivial?

Maybe because it’s so trivial, and they have something against trivialities?

Also, would you prefer I ask why you didn’t post one? It used to be that you’d jump on every opportunity I gave you, intentional or not.

Thought so.

Anyway, happy Wednesday!

The good news is there’s only about 3 months left in 2016

Hello.

I’m not sure if you saw yet, but 2016 claimed another celebrity. This time, Gene Wilder. He was the star of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, as well as a variety of other movies. (But I was first introduced to his acting through the one I mentioned.)

So, in honor of him, maybe sometime this week track down a copy of that movie (or one of his others) and give it a watch.

Time to revisit an older post…

Hello!

Yesterday, I went to a Sizzler for the fist time in a while. That brought to mind the old post where Fluffy analyzed a Sizzler Commercial from 1991 that featured a song that was extremely patriotic. (Possibly at least as patriotic as songs that are considered patriotic.)

So, yep. Also, it appears that they still keep some of the Patriotic motif going in Sizzlers these days; the back of one of the team shirts had something about “pledge allegiance” or something like that. I don’t remember.

Anyway. Have a lovely Sunday!

MORE Sherlock Parody Post-ness!

Hello!

It’s Friday. So, it’s basically the weekend. Yay!

In honor of that, I thought I’d give you another link that can help you stave off boredom this weekend. It’s the behind-the-scenes for the Hillywood Show Sherlock Parody.

(As a note, yesterday the parody got to OVER ONE MILLION VIEWS! In about FOUR DAYS! So, yep.)

Happy Friday!
