China is making Environmentally Friendly Towers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers! I hope you are having a pleasant weekend so far.

I encountered a rather interesting article the other day, and I thought I would share it with you. It is perhaps not quite as fluffy as some things here, but it is difficult to out-fluff either the color scheme or the logo, so that is unsurprising.

The article in question discusses China’s new building project: An environmentally helpful set of towers. If it works out as it is supposed to, these buildings could be very interesting. Not only are the towers to be the two largest towers in the world, they will supposedly help clean the environment in the area. Especially given that China is home to some very polluted cities, supposedly, this is quite interesting news and technology. It would be interesting to inspect the technology more closely.

I wish you a happy Saturday.

Another “Tea” Interruption: Fake celebrity

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I am once again hijacking the Webmaster’s train of never-ending tea posts to bring you a post about a very amusing prank I just read about. And I apologize for that sentence- it rather got away from me.

The prank: Some average New Yorker decided to impersonate a celebrity for a day, and film the experience. He is actually a non-celebrity. The resulting footage is amusing.

I hope you have an excellent Tuesday.

Really Interesting Vid about Celebrity Trailers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Random trivia for you. Did you know that some trailers (as in the thing people drive) can cost more than a normal home?

Yup.

I just saw a very interesting video about some trailers that movie stars sometimes use when they’re on the go. Apparently these trailers are made special for them, and are designed to be kinda like the mansions a lot of these people are used to.

But it’s interesting all the detail that goes into them.

Some of the trailers are even two-storied!

You should totally watch the video.

Have a great Tuesday!

I have a new shiny!

Hello, Fluffsters!

So, I’m really happy. I have a new shiny!

You got another ring?

What? No!

I got a new computer! Can’t you tell?

No… Why do you think I would be able to know?

Well, I’m using it to write this fluff post…

Webmaster, surely you do not think I can actually tell what computer you are using?

…Uh… No. No. Of course I wouldn’t think something like that…

But yeah.

So, I’m still getting to know the computer. I can’t quite tell whether it’s going to get a male or female pronoun associated with it yet, but it’s a sweet little machine!

It has its quirks, but so far they’re reasonable. For example, to save space, the “end”, “home”, “page up”, and “page down” buttons are hidden on the arrow keys. But it’s also got some really nice speakers! And some easy volume control sorts of things. F6, for example, is insta-mute. F7 is volume down, F8 is volume up. And it has an easy airplane mode button!

Also, it can go into tablet mode. And it’s thin, so it basically kinda works as a tablet!

As I said, it’s a sweet little machine.

Well, I hope you have a good day! Smile, it’s almost the weekend!

I saw a Star Destroyer!!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Tuesday!

So, last night was fun. I got to see a real live Star Destroyer!

Wait, you something capable of destroying a star?

Well, kinda. Basically, it was made out of clouds…

Oh. You mean you saw a cool cloud formation.

Well, yes. But it looked like a Star Destroyer! I’m serious- just look at this!

A cloud star destroyer

The Star Destroyer is in the lower middle

I do not see anything of note…

Ok, I’ll isolate it for you.

A more focused look at the star destroyer cloud

A little less distractions…

Unfortunately, the pictures really don’t do it justice. But it seriously looked like a Star Destroyer. And it was really cool!

Anywho. I hope you have a good day!

New “Twiddle”

Hello, Fluffsters!

I bought a new Shiny a couple days ago. It’s a pretty little ring. It’s also my first pretty little ring that I intend to wear on a regular basis. I’m not posting pictures of it, because I’m a bit too lazy to do so. But it’s a silver ring, and it’s got a red stone in the middle. It’s really fun having something on my right hand. Basically, it provides instant “twiddle” ability.

It’s really fun. Any time I’m feeling fidgety, I can just twist the ring around, or pull it half off my finger, put it on, switch fingers, twist it some more, and just generically be fidgety without actually being destructive to something. Or way too active.

It’s really fun having something I can play with.

Happy Monday!

How many Peeps can a 50 caliber go through?

Greetings, readers!

I give you my sincerest apologies for not having posted an Easter post earlier. I would normally wait until next year to make up for a lack of Easter posts, but a reader just sent me a link to a marvelous Easter (or Post-Easter) themed YouTube video, and I enjoyed it far too much to wait until next year.

Without further ado, “How Many Peeps does a 50 Cal Go Through?”

I hope you have found inspiration for what to do with your leftover Easter Marshmallow Candy.

If the gun idea does not appeal to you, however, fear not! For behold, there is an alternative way to eliminate excess peeps: Peep Jousting.

Is that not a marvelous use of leftovers?

If you end up microwaving your peeps for the purpose of jousting, please send pictures for this blog! I would enjoy sharing them.

I wish you a happy Tuesday.

More “mist”-erious

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

This picture is from a couple nights ago again, but I really like it, so this is basically like a part two. And an indicator that I’m being a bit lazy…

I hope you enjoy the picture!

Mist shrouded clock tower

Isn’t it slightly spooky looking?

Car Tipping

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

I’m a bit weirded out… Yesterday, I saw information about a remarkable new “thing” in San Francisco… apparently, some kids wanted to go cow tipping, but they were in the city. So they went car tipping instead. Seriously.

As I said, I’m just a bit weirded out…

Thoughts?

Fun Memory from Working with Kids

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Thursday!

So I was just spending a bit too much time looking at animated gifs of dogs and other cute things, and a couple of the pictures included dogs who couldn’t get up slides. This reminded me of some days when I did nursery work.

There was a small little slide there. You know. About the right size for 3-4 year olds to play on safely.

And there was this one little boy. He was an absolute sweetheart. He was about three when this incident happened, maybe three-and-a-half.

However old he was, like every other kid his age, he had a desire to climb up the slide. It was small enough that I let him try- he was clearly safe.

Well, at one point he must have heard that if you get more speed, you can go higher up the slide.

So after a few tries of only making it up a few inches, he decided to back up and run.

The problem is that there was a step about two feet away from the slide. So when he went back to the base of the step, he got a little bit more height on the slide. Note enough to get up, but enough to see that his idea kinda worked.

He then decided to go back even further. He started just a bit beyond the top of the step. (It’s a long step. More like a porch, leading into the Church building. So, there’s also only one step. It’s not like he was running down a staircase or anything.) But yeah. So he started on top of the step, stepped off, and then started to run.

There was no real discernible difference.

So he went back further.

The big issue with the step, though, was that whenever he got to the “step-down” part, he always slowed down, to approximately the same speed. No matter how far back he started, he always made it approximately the same distance up the slide.

It was quite amusing to watch, though, and left him more tired out and therefore less restless for story time! It’s definitely one of my favorite memories of being a Church nursery worker.

How about you, Fluffsters? Do any of you have any fun “working with kids” memories?
