Dessert inspired thoughts

Hi!

I may have had a bit too much sugar at the time of writing this post. There was a dessert potluck that I went to. Which got me thinking. If someone brings a dessert that doesn’t get eaten at the potluck, if they’re not brownies, does that person still get the Brownie Points for bringing the dessert?

And on that note, I’ll wish you a Happy Friday, filled with Much Tasty Sugar!

COOL edible art I hadn’t seen before!

Hi!

I recently found another lovely time-sink!

There is a thing called sculpted jell-o. Or, “Gelatin Art”. And there are YouTube videos of the things. And they are lovely.

I kinda wish I was more of a fan of gelatin desserts, so I could have more of an excuse to invest in this art style!

Enjoy!

Make hotel coffee at home in 4 easy steps!

Hi!

So. Discovery of the day: Assuming you’ve met certain preconditions, you too can make cheap irritating hotel coffee at home!

Here’s how.

a) Stay at a hotel with a mini coffee pot. NOT a keurig. This step is essential.

2) Take the provided coffee grounds home. Preferably still in their bag, not loose. Just to clarify.

third) Brew at home. Yup. Just like usual. (Assuming you have a small coffee pot as well, though.

Last: Drink, and consider your terrible life choices. WHY DID I DO THIS. HOTEL COFFEE IS TERRIBLE. WHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!–

–Hello.

The Webmaster seems to have gone into full “meltdown” mode.

In lieu of her usual greeting, I will instead fill in.

I hope you have a nice day, filled with not-terrible coffee.

Fun orchestra prank!

Hi!

In case you couldn’t tell, I rather like musical pranks. And it turns out that some (probably high school) brass players in an orchestra did a quite nice one.

So, the orchestra was playing Prokofiev’s Dance of the Knights. And the brass… “fixed” it. (Keep watching. Worth it.)

Enjoy!

Hi!

I saw a video on Facebook the other day, with a penguin chasing a butterfly.

It’s adorable.

Enjoy!

Like mud pie, only different

Hi!

Some folks are extremely talented with cake decorations. And sometimes, they seem to just have fun with it. So one baker, for example, ended up making a “trashed”/muddy wedding cake. And it’s lovely. (In a muddy sort of way.)

Enjoy!

Laurel AND Yanny

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

There is an interesting discussion in the Internet at the moment. There is a recording that may either sound like Yanny, or like Laurel. There is a Tweet that asks you to vote.

Then, Business Insider gives an explanation for what is going on. Somebody did a high-frequency recording of the word “Yanny”, and a low-frequency recording of the word “Laurel”. The two recordings were then overlaid, in such a way that it is difficult (if not entirely impossible) to hear both. The recording discovery of it can be found in another tweet. (Slight language warning.)

The fascinating thing for me: when I started, I could only hear Yanny. After listening to the different pitch levels, however, I can hear both with Laurel as the main one. I have no explanation.

What about you?
