Rubber Ducks belong on the Head

Hi!

So, you’ve heard the phrase “put your thinking cap on”, right?

Well, I’ve got a different definition of “thinking cap” that I rather like.

Rubber ducks?

Yup. Rubber ducks.

I especially go with the smaller ones.

There are a few advantages of having a rubber duck on one’s head when trying to think.

a) The little bit of weight is comforting. Note that this works best with the smaller ones. I expect a larger one would get to the “distracting” point.

2: Better posture! You don’t want your ducky to fall, do you?

Last. Surprise people! Who knew you were so trendy, to wear a rubber duck as a thinking cap?

“Trendy”. Right.

Anyway. Good luck with the rest of the week! Go and get a rubber duck, if you need one!

Greetings, readers!

Yesterday, I discovered that there is a website devoted to the fine art of Reindeer Herding.

It has international support, and various governments backing it.

I found it interesting, and hope you do as well.

Have a lovely day.

Next Question!

Hi!

Time for the Next Question: You can live an infinite amount of time, but either living “as usual” for an unlimited number of days (vertical), or by having an infinite amount of time per day (horizontal). (So, you can pause the day, transport yourself elsewhere, whatever.) Which do you choose?

Currently, as I’m faced with too much to do in too little time, I’d go with Horizontal. What about you?

A Map of Girl Scout Cookies

Hi!

So, many of you are aware of Girl Scout Cookies, I’m sure. And some of you may even know that there are two different bakers for the girl scout cookies, and that the cookies are slightly different, depending on the baker.

Well, somebody was nice and put together a map of where the different bakers serve.

Enjoy!

Cool Japanese Stationery!

Hi!

So. In addition to really cool memo pads that turn into buildings, there are also really cool stationery sets that allow you to mail mementos from travels. Also made in Japan.

I do have to wonder if they make any large enough for a full sized oak leaf, though…

But yeah. What would you mail, if you could?

Reminder about an Epic Fan Fic for your weekend

Hi!

So, a few years ago, I pointed out the existence of a fantastic Harry Potter fan-fic, based on the premise that Harry was raised by scientists and learned the methods of rationality.

It’s quite amusing.

Last time I recommended it, it hadn’t finished. Actually, it finished only a few months after that…

Anyway. It’s now done. And although it does start to get more dark and angsty after chapter 33, it ends pretty well.

Enjoy!

Neat memo pads!

Hi!

Japan. Japan is really cool.

Or at least, they make a lot of cool things. You know.

The reason for that comment today is because of memo pads they make. And they’re not just memo pads. The pads turn into art pieces! Like, as you tear out the memo, it reveals a building.

If that weren’t enough, the memos themselves also have cool cut out things!

Seriously. Check it out.

Have a lovely day!
