Bringing “Fetch” To Another Level

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi Fluffsters! I’m not sure if you’ve seen this before or not, but there’s another really cute video up on YouTube with a fluffy dog.

The dog starts off by stealing a baby’s toy. Which is sad. But then the puppy decides to apologize by bringing the sad little thing as many toys as possible. It’s really cute.

I hope that brought some much needed fluff to the beginning of your week! Wasn’t that cute?

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Happy beginning of a new week!

I recently saw this article, thanks to a friend or three on facebook, and thought that it was a good thing to read. It’s about the truth behind instagrammed pics and stuff.

I think this is probably fairly accurate. What about you?

Hello, Fluffsters!

Can you believe it’s once again Wednesday? Wow, time sure does fly, doesn’t it?

Anywho.

Recently, I’ve been having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.

And I discovered a way to make them even better. And this trick works on other sandwiches, too. Instead of plain wheat or white bread, use lightly toasted sourdough bread. It’s, like, one of the best things ever.

One of the other best things ever is using the lightly toasted sourdough for a chicken-and-avacado sandwich. Those are also amazingness in a lunch sized container.

I hope you find these tips useful! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Cute Animals Doing Stuff for the First Time

Hey Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

So yesterday, I saw one of the cutest links, and I totally needed to share it with you. It’s a series of pictures of animals. And the animals are trying typical animal-y things for the first time. And it is adorable. Seriously. Their facial expressions are so cute.

So you should totally check it out.

Have a great week!

Quote of the Day

Hiya, Fluffsters! Happy Wednesday!

So yesterday, I was reading old AP news articles. (Don’t ask.)

One of the quotes was rather amusing. Context: discussion of Argentine beef. Quote: “This steak is so healthful, it could almost pass itself off as a vegetable: low fat, hormone free, 100 percent organic.”

I’m going to start calling my steaks “vegetables” now… Anyone else want to join me?

One More Reason why Spinning Is Fantastic

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

As the weekend has come to a close, and therefore a lot of extra time for fun activities, I wanted to share with you one more advantage of having a hobby be spinning. As in, spinning yarn.

When spinning is a hobby, you can do fun things at the same time. Like watch Dr. Who. Or listen to Welcome To Night Vale. Or even have a conversation with a friend.

Basically, you can do pretty much anything that doesn’t require hands. And so it’s a lot of fun. I recommend it.

Anywho, happy Monday! I hope your week goes well.

Things To Do For the 4th of July That Require No Planning

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy 4th of July! Especially to any Americans out there. I mean, happy 4th of July to everyone, but it’s a bit more of a holiday for Americans than for others. You know.

So in honor of today, I came up with

Some activities you can do that require no prior planning:

a) Sit in a corner and think. Unless you don’t have a corner. In which case, just find somewhere else to sit. You might, if you have the materials, even take a picnic blanket and some food and go down to your nearest park, especially if it’s walking distance. Otherwise, don’t bother- the parking probably isn’t worth it.

2) Read a book. Now, you might be thinking this requires some pre-planning. But it does not. You are looking at this blog post on the internet, so therefore you have internet access. If you have internet access, you have Project Gutenberg access. You therefore also have access to a large, free library. Enjoy your free ebooks!

That’s actually about what I can come up with for activities that require no pre-planning, and that are actually different from each other. I mean, seriously. I could mention think about story ideas, or imagine something, but that’s essentially the same thing as sitting in a corner and thinking. So, yeah.

Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend!

A nice feature I found on my computer!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Thursday!

So, I just discovered a really, really nice feature that came with my new computer.

Of course, it’s only really nice because the computer itself has a slightly more than slightly annoying, uh, “feature” with it… but that’s beside the point. Because there’s a way to fix that problem, and I’m now happy with that!

You see, my mouse touch thingy was a bit too sensitive. Especially while I was typing. I can’t tell you how many paragraphs from fluff posts I’ve almost entirely deleted, before realizing my mistake.

… It is almost a pity you did discover the problems.

Well if I hadn’t, the grammar would have been even worse than usual.

It is as I said: almost a pity.

Ah. You’re too kind.

I know.

Oh. That was sarcasm again, wasn’t it?

Anywho.

So, what I discovered is that there’s a way to set my mousepad thingy feature so that if I double-click in the upper lefthand corner, it turns my mousey off. Or on, if it’s off already.

It is so nice to have control over my computer again!

Just to clarify, Webmaster…

Yes, Fluffy?

We received all that buildup for… a single sentence?

Technically two.

I guess you are correct.

Anywho. Have a great day!

I made dinner and it didn’t epically fail!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Tuesday!

So, last night, I made dinner for like the first time! And it turned out well!

…Even if it didn’t turn out all at the same time.

…What do you mean by that?

Oh. That does call for a bit more explanation, doesn’t it.

Yes, Webmaster, it does.

Ok. Well, at about 3:00, I decided that I wanted to cook dinner tonight, instead of having my family do it like normal. This was inspired, in part, by my having been looking at recipes for chicken and bread and other yummy stuffs. So, I found a recipe, found a bread recipe I wanted to try, checked the ingredients, and started making dinner!

What I didn’t realize was that the bread needed three hours to rise… And I didn’t get to the part where it needed to rise until about 3:30. And that didn’t include time it takes to knead dough, or do other necessary things to it… Or baking time. So, we did not have that bread with dinner. Fortunately, from my perspective, my mother was able to go to the store and get some crescent rolls we were able to have with.

So I made pasta-

–Oh goody. So impressive.

No. As in, I made pasta. Flower, water, oil, egg, mix it in a machine, and extrude spaghetti (in this case.)

And I also made Chicken Scampi.

…Did you magically create a chicken somehow, or is it like what it sou

No, that one’s exactly the way it sounds. Or reads.

I can never tell exactly how to describe it…

Anywho. So, my mother bought bread, and cooked green beans. And it turned out really well!

And then, about two-and-a-half-hours later, the dinner rolls I was making came out of the oven, and they also turned out pretty well!

So, overall, it was a success. I need to work on my timing, but everything turned out well, so I’m happy.

Anywho, have a good day!

Beginner’s Guide to Watching Star Trek: Iconic Episodes

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

It’s still the weekend, so I thought of more fun things for you to do. You can watch some Star Trek!

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching a number of Star Trek episodes and movies and stuffs. I was very blessed to have a Trekkie father, so he would often watch Star Trek with me and my sister during Father/Daughter time, and it was fun.

All that to say that I’ve been a Trek fan for the vast majority of my life, so I have some tips for if you haven’t already become a Trekkie.

First, some background. By today’s standards, the special effects (especially of The Original Series) are not that fantastic… They’re really not. But they supposedly were at the time. So, just keep that in mind.

Next, if you’re going to be watching the Original Series, I would recommend either watching it when you’re wanting the equivalent of a B-Rated Movie, or with a group of friends who want to make fun of something. It’s got some fun stuff, but the acting (especially Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner) is… just… calling for mockery. Not all the actors are. But Kirk especially is.

It can be a lot of fun to watch. Quite amusing. Especially if you’re expecting it.

Next, don’t feel like you have to watch all the original series before moving on to the later (better) series. In fact, I’ve figured out a few episodes that really hit all the main plots of The Original Series (TOS).

First, you’ll want to watch Arena. That’s probably one of the most iconic episodes. In part because it has one of the stupidest alien costumes of all time. But it also completely illustrates one of the genres of Star Trek. And a lot of “red-shirt” deaths. This is a season 1 episode, so you might want to start with it first.

Next, and incidentally there’s one that falls into this category immediately after Arena, is a time travel episode. My personal favorites of these is “Tomorrow is Yesterday.” However, “City on the Edge of Tomorrow” is another iconic one, and so might be a better one. It’s up to you, though. “Tomorrow is Yesterday” is a bit less serious…

Third is another really iconic episode. “Trouble with Tribbles.” Seriously, you need to watch that one. It’s so important that it gets referenced by a later series. And there are tribbles in the reboot. And you can purchase electronic tribbles. Basically, tribbles are everywhere. So, yeah. You might want to know about Tribbles.

The fourth of “The Iconic Episodes”, and one that gets referenced a few times, is “Mirror Mirror.” This is the traditional parallel universe episode. So, I’ve only really seen it once or twice, I think, but it is also an important one. Although, I’ll completely leave that up to you.

Those are my basic “must see” episodes. There are some extra episodes that are “good to have”, but if you want to move on to the other serieses, those are good foundation episodes, or the episodes that people reference a lot. This does not include the movies that people reference. But it does have a lot of the most mentioned episodes.

Maybe some other post I’ll include other supplemental episodes you might want to watch. Huh.

Anywho, have fun!
