Hi, silence!

This is the Webmaster, here.

And this is Fluffy.

Webmaster, why are we addressing the emptiness again?

Because if we leave, this way we’ll have left a note explaining our nonexistence.

Or absence, as the case may be.

Yup, that too.

So… I am still trying to understand. Is this blog, in fact, stopping? Or even stopping daily posts?

…I don’t know, Fluffy. I really don’t.

This blog first started as a class project for me, actually.

Interesting.

Yup.

And it’s grown to be far more than that to me. It’s a source of pride. There have been daily posts on this blog for almost two-and-a-half years. This post is the 825th published.

And the first time I break that streak, there’s no going back. If I were to take a break, I’d never again be able to say that this blog has been updating daily since January of 2013.

When I first started this blog, I had the time to invest. It was, after all, for a grade.

Time is becoming increasingly scarce, though. And It’s becoming increasingly harder to figure out what the blazes to put as fluff. Especially since there’s no feedback on anything anymore.

Do you realize that the last comment posted was from last year? in OCTOBER? It has now been half a year since I last got a comment on this blog. And although I’m not exactly writing this blog solely for the purpose of being seen… it’s hard to justify spending my time on it.

Well, if there are going to be no more daily post expectations, I will not complain.

I could use the space.

I rather thought you might…

Yup. So, that’s why we’re having this conversation, Madam McGiggles.

I expect that for the next while, if I see something (or write or make something or anything like that) that counts as fluff, then I’ll make a real post.

Otherwise, I’m not sure if I’m just going to post something along the lines of “this isn’t a real post”, or just not post.

But regardless, I figured that the future readers (since there aren’t any current readers– at least while I’m writing this, according to my friend Googlebot) deserve to know what’s going on. Whether they want to or not.

Not that anyone is going to actually post a comment, but I figure I’ll still present the opportunity for anyone who’s out there to weigh in. Or something.

You know.

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Last night had a completely useless SUCCESS!!!

For a few years now, I’ve been randomly remembering a movie from my preschool years. However, I couldn’t remember what it was. Only that I thought it involved a zoo, animal colors, a mayor, and a dream. I also knew it was a VHS. (I know, I’m giving away some of my age here…) I had no clue how long the movie was, who made it, when it came out (except that it was still during VHS times), or any of the character’s names.

Well, last night, after a (few years of searching off-and-on-via-google) (as in, for a few minutes about once every 3-9 months…) I FINALLY FOUND IT!

Needless to say, I am feeling fairly pleased with myself.

So, with that, I’m presenting a competition challenge thing! The first person (NOT my parents 😉 ) to email me at webmaster [at] totalfluff.com with the right movie guess, or comment below with the correct movie, will be mentioned publicly in the following blog post if you wish. To make things “easier” for you, I’ll tell you that my original assumptions were, in fact, correct.

(Some) Signs of Late Spring

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. It’s been Spring for a while now. But it’s really feeling like it right now.

and that’s for several reasons.

a) The flowers are blooming. There are few things that smell like Spring to me quite as much as combinations of night-blooming Jasmine and citrus flowers. Those are seriously two of the most beautiful smells that I can think of! And where I am, the jasmine is out in full force. The citrus not is random. But the Jasmine. I LOVE it.

2) It’s getting warmer. Like, WAAAY warmer. Too warm for my taste. It’s getting to mid-high 80s regularly. And that’s annoying, and making me want things like ice cream and milkshakes. Well, wanting them more than usual…

Third) my Google Adwords page is being filled up with fabric, bead, and other craft website advertisements. Motivation for me has basically gone, and I’m spending a lot of “free time” daydreaming about having “free time”. And being able to craft and stuff.

How about you, Fluffsters? Anything indicating “It’s late spring!1!” to you?

Maybe I should start doing a weekly rant or something. Because I AM ANNOYED AS HECK.

I generally use Google Chrome for my web browsing, due to my computer seemingly have developed a semi-allergy to Firefox, and Internet Explorer being internet Explorer. (And besides– who on earth uses “Seamonkey”?)

But recently, they turned my bookmarks thing into a trial user for the betatest bookmark stars system. AND I LOATHE IT.

The way things work right now, I have a nice system to my bookmarks. Few people would necessarily be able to follow it, because I have a few things that I “just remember” where they are, but that’s beside the point. The point is I have a system.

And besides, I often do my bookmarking, or visiting of old bookmarks, without using a mouse at all.

And that’s where chrome REALLY messed things up for me. They made it so I wasn’t able to use my keyboard to put a file into a designated folder. I needed to click. EWWW. That is legitimately one of the most obnoxious things a web browser has ever done to me– made it so that I need to use a mouse for something I should be able to use Hotkeys for.

In fact, that’s part of why I kept using Firefox for so long– for a while, Firefox still allowed me to email webpages, all through hotkeys.

Then, eventually, they basically stopped that feature. And everything else got to be too obnoxious.

But the point stands. I KEPT USING A BROWSER THAT I DIDN’T LIKE FOR THE SAKE OF HOTKEYS. I ABANDONED IT WHEN THE HOTKEY CAPABILITY LEFT.

So all that to say, GOOGLE, YOU BETTER LET ME BE ABLE TO USE MY HOTKEYS!!! I LIKE CHOOSING WHERE MY BOOKMARKS GO, VIA ARROW KEY AND SPACEBAR!!!!

Fortunately, however, I was able to find a friendly help site that showed me how to get back to normal bookmarking. So, I can currently use my keyboard to bookmark and sort my bookmarks. So I’m only currently disgruntled and potentially aggravated, not actually furious… for now.

And I didn’t even spot a single Lens Flair! Well done, J.J. Abrams!

I can’t get over “Neon Pegasus”

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So. A couple of days ago, as you may recall, I wrote about a song that was weird, but made me smile a LOT.

The song, as you may recall, was “Neon Pegasus.”

And it has been randomly going through my head for the past few days. And I think that it’s because of the quality of the song. It is totally nonsensical, but it is SO oddly specific, it sounds like it comes from a very detailed world, and therefore should make sense.

I mean seriously. THE “genetically modified salamander with a face just like George Cloony”? It sounds like there HAS to be a legend behind that in whatever world the song is in.

Isn’t it great?
