Thing I Did When I Should Have Done Other Thing

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Monday!

So, this weekend I was both productive and not productive.

You know. I have something due on Friday, so that means that I cleaned my room (somewhat) and did craft projects instead. Yay procrastination!

I’m sure that I’ll get my Friday project done, so it’s not really that bad. But, yeah.

So here’s a picture of my craft project so far- a ceramic dragon pot thingy. (No, I’m not showing you my room. It’s better than it was, but it’s still not great.)

Front of a dragon pot

It’s a dragon!

A ceramic dragon with slightly stocky tail

So, the tail’s slightly dorky. As are the wings. It’s still cute!

The dragon's back becomes a lid

This gives a better view of the “lid”

So, yeah. It needs to be fired, of course. And then hopefully glazed. I’m trying to decide on colors. Do I want it to be glossy black? Glossy green? Not-glossy green? Something else?

Yeah. That’s my weekend, basically! How about you?

Disney Princess Parody Movie with Frozen

Greetings, readers! I hope this day finds you well.

Once again, I was visiting YouTube. Once more again, I found a video I think is worth sharing. It is a parody of Disney Princesses, set to music. I encourage you to watch it.

I hope you enjoy, and have a good week.

My Week in Bread Bowls

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Saturday!

The weather where I am has been a bit chilly recently. And snowy. It’s lovely.

A very snowy landscape, with more coming down.

Part of this week’s weather…

But it’s also good for making you want warmer foods.

Fortunately, I came to the realization that when the place I frequently eat serves little crusty French rolls and soup, you can MAKE YOUR OWN BREADBOWLS!

So, here’s my week in Bread Bowls!

Formation of a breadbowl from a dinner roll.

Making a bread bowl! Yay!

Cheesy soup in a bread-bowl

Yay soup in a BREADBOWL!!

Bread-bowl with Chili.

So this was an actual bread bowl, provided by the food service. It had chili.

Hand-carved breadbowl with colliflour cheese soup.

This was the one where I first made my own breadbowl. It was tasty!

Lentil Vegetable Soup in a bread-bowl

Breadbowl from February 20th. Some sort of tomato-based lentil soup.

PB & J in a bread-bowl.

New form: Peanut Butter and Jelly in a bread bowl! It works, right?

And then, alas, they ran out of the mini French loaves. So I needed to try to use a normal dinner roll. Which really didn’t work as well, but oh well. At least this post was saved!

soup in a crumby breadbowl

Clam Chowder in a dinner bun breadbowl thingy

So, that was fun. I highly recommend trying it sometime. There’s something really fun about “beating the system”, and having fancier (or at least tastier) food than the provider expects.

Have a great weekend!

Lightning Strike!

Hello, Fluffsters!

I suppose it would make the most sense for me to wait until Halloween to post this, but I don’t really care. Because it happened last night, it works now too…

Basically, there was a lovely lightning storm! And I got one of the lightning strikes on film! (Well, digital video. But you know.)

My apologies for the sound… I’m not sure how to use the video editing software.

Have a great weekend!

New Piano Guys Music Video

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Thursday!

I know that I’ve shared some of the Piano Guys’ epic music-ness before, but it’s because they are worth it.

And their new one? It’s a lovely piece: A wintery themed one.

Oh, yes! I love that one.

…Really?

Yes.

It is very artfully done. I like how it incorporates segments of Vivaldi’s Winter, from his Four Seasons!

For those of you who might not be as familiar with it, here is a recording of it. Only first three minutes or so of this piece are particularly obvious in the Piano Guys’ piece.

Yeah, it’s cool how they tie it in with the “Let it Go” theme from Frozen!

If there’s anyone out there who hasn’t seen that segment from the movie, here’s the official full scene, which Disney itself released! (At least, I think it’s the official version. It’s sometimes a bit hard to tell…)

Well, now that you know about the major pieces incorporated in the Piano Guys’ new piece, here’s their actual piece!

I hope you enjoyed, and I hope the rest of your week goes well!

YouTube Tried to Keep A Secret

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers! I hope your week is going well.

I recently discovered something on YouTube.

Apparently, if you tell your computer to go “down” while an embedded video is loading (so for you, it would be by pressing the “down arrow” right after pressing play) the little white circle of dots turns into a snake game, which you can continue to play during the movie.

It is a bit distracting, actually.

For non-embedded YouTube videos (as in, videos found on YouTube’s page) click on the video and then press down. Be sure to press the down arrow, and then play as normal, or else you will not start the game, and might even quit it.

Here is a link to one of my favorite longer videos in the hopes of you being able to try this.

I hope you enjoy!

Easter Bunny Rolls

Hello, Fluffsters! Last night, I saw the cutest idea for an Easter meal.

Or any meal where there might be a little child.

It’s Easter Bunny themed rolls. Aren’t they adorable?

I know Easter isn’t for a while yet, but I guess this gives you time to practice!

Have a great Tuesday!

Fluffy Puppy Start to your Week

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Monday!

Now, I understand that Mondays are sometimes not the best days of the week. But I may have a solution for today: a really cute puppy video.

I’d recommend turning and keeping your sound on.

Well that was sickeningly “adorable.”

…You put quotes around “adorable”?

Yes. That puppy has a serious need for WD-40 for the squeaks.

You can’t use oil on a dog!

Not that type of WD-40. “White-Dog-40.”

It is a special concoction we have back in my home for dealing with white dogs that will not quiet down. It primarily consists of our equivalent of peanut butter (to make their mouths stick a bit and prevent whining) and a touch of magic to make them sleepy again.

Ah. That’s a lot more humane that I thought.

I am not actually an unpleasant person, Webmaster.

I never said that you were, Fluffy. I never said that you were.

Well, Fluffsters, I hope that makes your Monday a bit brighter! Have a great week!

New Doors!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

So, I just saw something really cool. Someone has REINVENTED THE DOOR!

I had not realized that the current version needed to be reinvented.

Well, it’s not that it needed to be reinvented, but this one is just so much cooler!

…I am really not understanding how the “reinvented” door is cooler than normal doors.

It’s a reinvented door! It’s artsy, and it folds to open and close!

And it has soft edges. I can’t think of a thing wrong with it! In fact, I guess that it’ll replace old-style doors fairly soon!

Well, I can. I guess that is one of the differences between me and you.

Oh really, Fluffy? Name one.

I shall gladly name multiple.

1) It is either fully open or fully closed. Sometimes, it is useful to open a door only part way. For example, if you are checking on whether or not someone is asleep, it is not the best idea to open a door all the way and to allow a flood of light to enter. If such a thing happens, then the person who should be asleep will wake up due to the light.

Alternatively, if you were to desire to open the door only part way from the inside, in order to check who is outside your door, it defeats the purpose of having a door if it is either fully open or fully closed.

2) It can only be closed from one side. The video demonstrates a person closing the door as he enters, but only from the front. There is no indication that the door can be closed from the inside, thus implying that anyone desiring to use the door must reach around to the front in order to close the door. Although that is not particularly inconvenient, it is not convenient either.

3) Locking the “reinvented” door. How would one add a lock to this? I would guess that it would have to be a strong electromagnet, or something similar to prevent the door from opening without permission. All the same, that seems like it would be an easy lock to override. And I do not see an easy way to add a different type of lock to the door.

I also don’t see any reason why the foldable door is any better than the original door.

So, Webmaster, have a sufficiently satisfied your request for explanations?

Hmpf. Yes.

Well, Fluffsters, I hope you still have a good day. Despite the fact that there might, in fact, be some issues with the “reinvented” door that’s making the rounds.

But what do you think? Are the reinvented doors cool? Not cool? None of the above? Leave a comment below!
