About Fluffy McGiggles

Greetings, reader! I am Fluffy McGiggles. In my world, I was an actress of the strongest sort, the melodramatic sort. Recently, I find myself confined to this... website, as its anthrompomorphization and personality. The Webmaster and I have a bit of a dispute as to how this should be run. The Webmaster can change anything I do, but I can also change anything the Webmaster does. However, the Webmaster can also delete me at will. So that means I'm temporarily behaving myself. This is my own choice, however, contrary to anything The Webmaster may say. So, don't blame me for the over-the-topness of the website. You have been warned.

A Podcast Fluffy Discovered

Greetings, Readers.

Before I get to today’s post, may I take a moment to point out the… “intricacies” of what the Webmaster has done to this blog?

Why do I get the feeling I’m going to regret letting you write today’s post?

Maybe because you always do?

But I digress.

I was just noticing again the Webmaster’s Baby-Yarn-Store-Explosion inspired color-scheme.

Look at it. Seriously.

In the overall background, you’ve got one set of colors. Behind the “text”, you’ve got another set, of the same colors. Finally, the Menu and Header Image both also have exactly the same color-scheme.

It’s called consistency. And fun with textures in photoshop.

Huh. I thought it was an obsession with pastels and a lack of creativity.

That too.

The Webmaster admitted it. I am genuinely shocked.

Great! Does that mean I can do today’s post instead?

Mo. There is a fantastic online radio show-

-Podcast. If it’s online, it’s a podcast.

Whatever.

As I was saying, there is this fantastic show I’ve discovered. It’s called “Welcome to Night Vale.” Some of you may have heard of it.

Since it is the weekend on your world, and since you therefore have time, I encourage you to examine it. I think that a number of you might find it a bit odd, but I enjoy it.

Fluffy, don’t you mean, “I think that a number of you might find it a bit odd, and I therefore enjoy it?”

…Possibly.

I wish you a great Friday, dear Readers! May your weekend be excellent.

Kinkade gets redone

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, Readers! I hope this Sunday is treating you tolerably.

I have recently discovered a series of artwork that is rather droll.

Apparently, on your world there was a popular artist who went by the name of Kinkade.

Ooh, yes! I love his work! Especially his version of Cinderella’s Castle.

…You would. After all, it seems to have very little real content- it seems like exactly the type of “art” you would enjoy.

But, I digress. For you see, I have found a website that features art that makes Kinkade’s work worthwhile- a parody site that includes Star Wars figures in the original Kinkade pieces. Isn’t this amusing? My personal favorite is the one of the burning house.

What about you, readers?

Make someone’s day brighter

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy Wednesday!

Given that it’s the Christmas season, I wanted to share some

Ways to…Make other people’s days brighter.

1) LEDs. LEDs are quite bright. Plug in a few around where the person is, and their day is practically guaranteed to get brighter. Literally.

2) Send a funny email. Even if it’s just a bad pun, or a link to a buzzfeed article. Or a fluff post. Or something. There are lots of possibilities.

4) Make a snowflake. Then, clearly, give it to that someone. Spontaneous gifts make days brighter.

3) Give a hug. Not in a creepy way, of course. So, probably only to people you know and who you are comfortable hugging and who like hugs and stuff like that. And I’m a bit tired so I’m going to end the post here.

Happy Wednesday!

Oddest reaction to a question yet…

Hello, Fluffsters! Happy Tuesday!

So, my Muffin Flavored Shrimp question is still one of my favorite questions to ask people. It’s amusing, it makes their day a little bit weirder, and overall it achieves a great effect.

Today, one of the respondents successfully made my day a little weirder, though. His response? “Well, I know from personal experience that paintballs taste bad. Odd fact, they look a lot like malt balls…”

Personally, I found that fairly odd. So people. Please. Label your paint-balls, and make it quite clear they’re note malt balls?

Have a great day!

New SOCKS!!

Hello, Fluffsters. I am very happy.

A friend gave me a wonderful Christmas present… Here’s a picture.

Fuzzy polka-dotted socks

FLUFFY!!! YAY SOCKS!

Yes, they’re socks. Fluffy, fuzzy, furry socks. Aren’t they fantastic?

Anywho. Happy Monday!

Hooray Spam?

Greetings, readers!

I have come upon a bit of a conundrum. Recently, I have received a comment on one of my entries.

This is a problem? What? This is what I’ve been trying to get!

No. That’s not it. It’s not a problem that I’ve got a comment. It’s the particular comment I received.

You see, the post was one of my commentaries on what qualifies as “good fluff” versus “bad fluff.”

Here’s the comment:

I have to show thanks to you just for rescuing me from this type of incident. Just after researching through the search engines and coming across advice which were not helpful, I figured my life was over. Existing without the strategies to the difficulties you’ve sorted out by way of the blog post is a crucial case, as well as those that might have in a wrong way affected my career if I had not encountered your website. Your personal expertise and kindness in touching a lot of things was tremendous. I am not sure what I would have done if I had not come upon such a thing like this. I am able to now relish my future. Thanks for your time very much for the high quality and amazing guide. I won’t be reluctant to suggest the sites to anybody who should receive guidelines about this topic.

I think the comment is longer than the post itself. Furthermore, I’m not sure whether this is some random stranger commenting on one of my posts, or whether this is one of the Webmaster’s friends being sarcastic.

I think this is actually what we consider “spam.”

Canned ham? This does not compute.

No. I’m not entirely sure what it stands for, but it’s any message that’s, well, spammy.

…That was not a particularly helpful definition.

Well, I’m tired, ok?

Whatever.

Regardless, have a good Saturday!

*Crickets Chirp*

Greetings, readers! Happy Sunday to you!

I recently came across a rather remarkable article and sound. Someone took the sound of cricket chirps, and slowed it down to the same relative speed as if crickets lived to be the same age as humans. I only listened to a part of it, but it was a fascinating sound!

It makes me wonder what other high-pitched noises insects make that would sound surrealistic if we could hear them in the same relative time. It also makes me wonder what crickets think of humans, and the noises they make.

What about you? Does this raise any puzzles for you, readers?

A Halloween Short Story I Loved: Brimstone and Marmalade

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers! I bid you a joyous Wednesday.

Today’s post is slightly non-seasonal. Given that there is apparently an overabundance of Christmas even though it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, though, I think that sharing a story that is slightly behind the season might average things out. Don’t you agree?

The story I’m sharing is sweet, funny, and possibly a bit sad. It takes place in a world where demons are available as pets. From what I understand, this is the only difference between your world and the world of this story.

This story brings to mind some of the more interesting creatures from my home. It’s a fairly accurate depiction of some of the lesser imps, actually. It makes me wonder if some of them may have escaped my world and made it into the world of this story.

The story itself is called Brimstone and Marmalade. I highly recommend it!

Words that should be used more frequently

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Salutations, readers all! I hope that you are doing well on this day.

Today, I will be discussing a problem concerning wording in your language. More to the point, the lack of the use of certain expressions and phrases. There are words that English has that are not used frequently enough.

Top Words that should be used more frequently

1) Sesquipedalian. This was the best word to start with that I could think of. I am writing this post because I have discovered that I am one. A Sesquipedalian, for those who don’t know, is one who loves long words. This should not be confused with hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia, or the supposed word that means “fear of long words.”

It’s not just a “supposed” word, Fluffy, it’s real.

Oh? Why do you say that?

There’s a YouTube song about that word.

That’s… slightly disturbing. But I digress.

2) Enigma. It’s puzzling to me why this one is not used more frequently. This word, after all, has the potential to cause confusion. At the very least, it can describe the confusion. “The confusion was enigmatic.” Yes, that may be redundant. It is still descriptive.

3) Alacritous / alacrity. If you get this definition quickly, you’ve gotten this word. Yes, alacrity means speed and quickness. It also has a musical tone to it. Why say “speedy” when you can say alacritous? Why use the phrase “with great haste” when you can say “with alacrity?” Using alacrity is alacritious.

4) Penultimate. This is a marvelous word. Penultimate. It means “next to last.” You’ll notice that I’ve placed it in the appropriate location, to further demonstrate my point.

5) Perspicacity. If you use this word, you’re sure to sound perspicacious. This word means keen and shrewd. Discourse everywhere would improve with more perspicacity in the arguments.

Have a good day, fluffsters.
